Hey guys currently 1 week into my grow with my seedling growing strong. Ive got it under a 5500k cfl bulb in a pc box. the seeds were germinated in peat pellets , and transferred into general potting mix. I rushed transplanting the seedling and put it into too big of a pot , i was wondering if it is too late to downsize ? Also whether or not i should get some perlite and mix it into some soil. Ill post a picture of when it first sprouted ( i got to it late and saw it reaching for light) and some recent pictures.

Its not made for growing weed its just general potting mix. Ive just realised today that there is a small amount of white dust appearing on the soil that i fear is fungus. Its pretty minor dont know if i should stress or not

Ill install some fans i have lying around temporarily until I get my new fans.I do have a small extraction fan in there. Will the mold go away on its own? Or will I need to tackle it with some sort of chem?

That's good observation Danka but I'm not sure it's been wet long enough to be concerned. Learn about watering. They love to be wet, then dry, repeat. Not too dry. There's a watering tutorial on my signature page if you want. Emilia has a thorough way to get the job done and it works. It also keeps the soil healthy from mold. I don't see mold in your pic. I don't know what the white stuff is.

I have read Emilyas watering tutoring its very helpful. The plant was watered pretty heavily 2 days ago ( had a fair bit of run off). This was before I read emilyas tutorial, tomorrow when I water I will use the proper techniques. Yeah I may be over reacting I'm pretty ocd haha.

hi! this is one of the reasons that chlorinated tap water is ok to use if you are not running organics, it helps keep this stuff in check. Drying out properly will help too, and if it really offends you, spray a little bit of hydrogen peroxide on the soil... just a bit, and that mold will be toast. Or, you could do like I do and actually encourage it, by placing a mulch layer on top of the soil. Out of sight, out of mind... and for the organic grower, so much goodness!

Thanks for the good info! I have actually been watering with tap water, havent ph tested it yet as i havent invested in a tester. Should the hydrogen peroxide be sprayed when the soil is dry or around watering time?

Lots of growth in the last few days, also some brown tinge appearing on a few tips of leaves. I thought my light may have been too close (cfl) but even after moving plant further away brown tinge increased. Ive read the sick plants symptoms sticky threads. I havent been feeding any nutes so im guessing its my ph levels in my tap water, ive ordered a ph meter but it hasnt arrived yet. Also there are a few purple tinges on the stems of the brown leaves is this bad ?

I was planing to keep my plant in this small pot but its day 17 and it looks like she has outgrown it already. Photo shows the roots trying to sneak out the drain holes. Are there any options or do i deffinately have to pot up ? Also some weird mutations to the leaves appearing could it just be genetics of the seed or is that somethig to be concerned about ?
