Ca - Los Angeles County deputies responding to a reported burglary in Rosemead found more than a ton of marijuana with a street value of $1.5 million, authorities said Wednesday.

An unidentified caller told dispatchers that several people were taking items from a van in the 9700 block of Loftus Drive on Tuesday afternoon, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

When deputies arrived, four men ran away but were later apprehended. Deputies found 107 20-pound packages of pot inside the van, the department said.

The four men were booked on suspicion of possessing marijuana and conspiracy to sell and transport the drug.
