I have metabolic syndrome. It's also called syndrome X. Mine shows up as diabetes, high bp, low HDL, high triglycerides.
When I'm eating extracts of the right strain these are the kind of results that I see:
Hb1Ac = 6.2 (down from 7.9)
Trig = 131 (down from 590 one year ago over 800 ten years ago)
HDL ~35 (up from ~25)
bp 120/29 (down from 235/135 a year ago)
Average glu = 95 (down from ~135 a year ago)
I've been able to stop taking metformin for a long time now.
I was first diagnosed as type 2 diabetic more than ten years ago.
