DIY Grow Tent Size

Howsit guys and girls,

Decided I have everything needed for a decent grow except the room or tent.

But I have no idea on an ideal size.....??

I have a jack that I want to grow and use as a mother and I only want to fim her after the 4th node so she gets some nice growth for cloning.

My guess and it's all it is, is 4 wide x 4 long x 7 foot high.

Any and all recommendations please?

4 x 4 x 7

The thing is you will want a seperate 4 x 4 x 6.5 or 7 for just it and another for your main grow.

Yes, that's plenty big enough. About the size I would have chose.

Thanks fanleaf, I'll be using a 400w hps, that seems to cover a 4x4 area quiet well.

If you can, get a 600w HPS...they're not much more than a 400w in terms of cost, and can be dimmed to 400w if you want.

Got a 400 in stock from my electrical business, but I may up it to 1000 near flowering depending on heat issues I may have.
Living in 30'C tropical climate with 85% humidity has its challenges.
And LED is still veeery expensive in South Africa.

Yeah, near flowering I would step up to at least a 600. Your 400 will be fine for veg.
