Do buds die? Or is it bud rot.

So I chopped most of a big bomb auto today,
This plant had previously been knocked over, and a top portion had broke off, the rest of the plant was grown and flushed for a week or so longer, it was grown in a greenhouse where the cold nights and morning dews and stuff can lead to mold and bud rot, so mostly just the tops had dead spots and or bud rot, one bud top was completely crisp on the top half and still growing on bottom

Can these be bud washed and used or junk? A lot of good tips to waste, some spots are very tiny This is the pile with questionable spots

This is what looked ready

And this is what needs to mature

Does it have a chance to mature more? Will it go in shock from all the recent losses?

You can make bubble hash from the molded buds.

i wouldn't use mouldy bud for anything. As too whether you can, yes you can smoke it or make concentrates from it. I wouldn't be doing it though, def not good for your health. I had a crop of 200plants ruined 18months ago and it all went in the trash.

In future make sure you have lots of airflow over them buds.

Don't ingest mold in any way, shape, or form. Dangerous.
Having said that... I think they look more burned on top than molded. Did you suffer a tough overheat spike?

Molded buds will be soft... burned bud will be very crispy. They look more crispy to me, but it's hard to tell from photos.

theres definately mould in them mate. take a closer look. its prime bud rot, ive suffered it too many times i can spot it in a field a mile away now...

Maybe it's both, guess I'll harvest it's getting cold at night anyway

I've found if you catch it when just the calyx had turned brown you can save the bud, unless there is something that is inside the stem? The stems of these buds have a wet spot in the middle instead of being hollow
