Doc Bud's High Brix Q&A With Pictures

I'd just do a single ReCharge and EWC over the top right away and let it percolate down. It should form a crust after a couple weeks. Let it do that, and then crumble that into the soil.

Later, in bloom you can do it again.

Thanks, that was my original Plan but then started THINKING
AND Wondering if the 1st/2nd run amendment was basically the same as the Recharge so
started to question my decision and figured I should ASK

:thanks:

BTW my calculations say I need to add 2 lbs EWC to each pot to put things back where they
would of been if I RE-COOKED it
but thats not including any amendments so not sure how that will effect adding that much EWC

I'm definitely off the Reservation and into unknown territory

Yeah, it' s a surprisingly large amount of EWC if you do the calculation, but I can get away with an entire 16oz cupful in a 6 gallon pot. I don't do that much for multiple runs, especially for a recook, but for a second run it'd be fine.

When we were first beta testing the Kit, we were dumping a lot of EWC and composted leaves and roots back into the soil and found that the humus builds up to toxic levels (toxic to biota) pretty quickly, so you have to be careful after 2nd and 3rd runs.

Thanks so much.

I used the 20 to 30 lb EWC amount that should of been added at Re-Cook
to calculate the amount of EWC missing.

Since I use 10 gal pots that works out from 5 to 7.5 lbs EWC per pot
BUT
I mixed 10 gal of USED 1st Run With 10 gal of COOKED 1st run, the result,
Soil Cut by 50%, Cooked (1st run) to Uncooked (Used 1st run).
making the EWC that needs to be added at 2 lbs per pot (a bit less than calculated)

Only realized at UP-POT Time that I never Re-Cooked half of the Soil.

Previously I lost track of which BIN was which and got confused.
Issue corrected I now use "clip on" Process cards
Green = cooked
Red = Uncooked

EDIT: Also I am fairly sure the soil is still ALIVE since I recently hand turned it and
noticed the BIN Temp went up also had condensation on lid PRIOR TO USE.

It is gooey and sticky and sweet like nectar  .... mmmmm... oooze

Ok so had 2 harvest alil bit early but here are my White Alien's and my Ice Cream buds right b4 i chopped an washed them. Even tho alil early i prolly cud have let them go about another week or so. But the triches still look good tho the buzz should be alil speedier an upbeat versus so much of a couch lock buzz. But either way good meds are in bound lol.

Up first are my White Alien's an alil budporn.

Then here we got my Ice Cream with alil budporn an a triche shot or 2 lol. I notice with this strain the triches remained on the buds more versus the leaves. So i guess thts not a total loss lol. I jus wont have as much trim for concentrates an oil with the Ice Cream versus the White Alien's. Those were some frosty batches

???? The MOTHER of all TRICHOMES ???

But seriously that is a GORGEOUS Photo :circle-of-love:

EDIT Holy #### I can even see a clear reflection of the Humidifers in the room at the top
of that drop !!!!

:laughtwo:

It's magic. :cheesygrinsmiley:

People have trouble believing that they can let the biota run the grow. We cultivate soil biota, and they cultivate our plants, like they've evolved to do. In a large field it's impractical, but in a hobby garden, it's easy - easier than almost any other method.

:slide:
Even at scale (a 5000 sq ft permit), it's a breeze. All of my neighbors are fighting hemp russet mites, spider mites, PM, bud rot....

And here we are, happily punching away relatively pest free with not but a few foliar feeds and a drench per week....please, hit this.

NOTICED something in the WEB SITE instruction page that I need to
bring to attention.

NOTICED under the SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS for Cooking Each batch it does
NOT INCLUDE EWC after the 2nd run and before the 3rd

Is this correct or simply a TYPO type error ?

Here is a cut and Paste from the section I am curious about
"
After your second grow
After the second crop is harvested, we take that same used soil and this time we add a bag of 3rd Run Amendment, and a light dusting of Roots! perhaps some healthy leaf scraps. Let this cook for a month and then use as normally directed. Please note: 3rd run "Recharge" is not needed nor is it recommended. Reduce use of foliar sprays to every 2 weeks for the 3rd Run.

all previous run instructions (1 & 2 runs ) specifically say to add EWC but not at this stage ?

Here is a link to his page with all the instructions for EACH Run cooking process

https://www.docbudsbrix.com/the-soil

I am asking so in the event it is a TYPO I dont want NEW USERS missing to add it

EDIT:

OK Its deffinetly a TYPO Type ERROR since I just pulled the instructions for the
3rd run amendment BTW 1 LBS Blaze

and it says to add EWC so

  • After a two complete cycles in Doc Bud’s Kit, the soil has a different set of mineral needs. To re-use the soil a third time, use this product!

  • Third Run Amendment reflects the typical changes seen and addresses all mineral depletion that occurs after 2 cycles. Do not use along with Doc Bud's regular Recharge.

  • Application: Added to soil that has had 2 complete cycles. Re-cook soil after harvest with the 3rd. Run Amendment and Earthworm Castings (not included) carefully mixed in.

Thanks Gazoo.

We'll fix this.
