Dosage of oil

After two operations for bowel cancer and chemo, doctors told my 49 year old sister her cancer was now metastatic (very aggresive cells in the body looking for an area to attach to) the only care they could offer was pallative and her life expectancy short. A family member told me about Rick Simpson and Pheonix Tears:

Her husband of 30 years an ex-policeman wouldn't even discuss cannabis oil despite being asked to look at Pheonix Tears and Run From The Cure and other websites etc. but my sister decided she had to give it a go without her husbands knowledge but with the full support of our parents and other members of our family.

For the first few weeks she took about a rice size dose and was quite spaced out and explained to her husband it is the prescribed anti depressants that are causing this when infact she has been throwing them down the toilet and the only medication she is on is the oil. But because her husband is not on board she has had to take the oil gradually and it's been 140 days now, in that time we have bought 35oz of bud and produced the oil. (not sure how many actual grams of oil tho)

She has always been very petit weighing just over 9st and has also improved her diet.

She had a scan in November that showed nothing bad is growing inside her and has another one at the end of February. She looks well, is feeling good and positive although she does have her moments when she gets upset.
Doctors say her liver is functioning quite hard and we assume this is her processing the oil.

I am wondering if because she is petit if this has a bearing on how much her course should be. My parents are not well off and have paid for all the bud etc. to date from their life savings and of course are prepared to spend more if necessary but I was wondering if size matters and can she now go onto a lower dose or the maintenance dose of 1 gram a month.????????????

Also I kept the old bud that had already been washed and has produced oil. I dried it out, mixed it with the isopropol again and have got a really dark green almost black solution. Is this useable???? and are we not getting the full amount of THC out of the buds in the first place. Maybe someone can help with this???????????????? (I haven't yet boiled it off in the rice cooker

never used it but have friends that do....1 drop at bed time daily is all they use.

Rick's general rule for a cancer dose is to use 16 oz (1 lb) of bud and the oil should be administered over 90 days. I imagine that's a good median place, your mileage could vary. But if you've already made oil out of 35 ounces of bud, even over 135 days, I would think it's time for maintenance ? I assume you're playing it safe until the 2nd look at the end of this month ?

Sad that she had to hide it from her husband, but if it saves her life, his ignorance is the only thing he should be angry at.

I really feel sorry for that. I think you can get your solution thought internet. you can find so many treatments for all these symptoms or you can search for best specialist.

cook that dark green solution down in a slow cooker, on low if you get a thick oil when it is done (alcohol gone) you got a usable product.

Can you produce oil using Run From the Cure as your guide? Yes but that documentary was from 2008 and although it laid down the basics there has been some advances and discoveries since then.

35 ounces, really? That's over 2 lbs and about $10k of weed.

First of all I assume you are not decarbing or performing decarboxylation. Decarbing will boost your medicine and make the same amount that much more effective.

I use a hot extraction method called reflux, it pulls a lot, easily twice the amount of the Rick Simpson method but a lot of plant waxes and chlorophyll. You should consider winterizing your alcohol prior to evaporating. Just stick your green alcohol in the freezer for 48 hours and pass through coffee filters.

I stick my bud in the blender prior to making my extraction to reduce my alcohol usage.

many thanks i'll put this to use next week, just need to but a cooktop first. but if it will increase yield i'm all for it , most of mine is given free to those that need it and no one is helping in the support of this crusade so efficiency
is a must.
