Downside to nursery pots?

Ive been using smart pots since I started but last run I put two plants in plastic pots and despite the pots being half the size of the smart pots both plants, two different strains, yielded more than the fabric containers.

This run I've decided to give the plastic nursery pots a spotlight and see how it goes. Is there a true downside to plastic pots? Or is there something better about fabric? Ive got my watering game down so I'm not concerned with over watering and inspecting the roots of previous plants the bags were full but not to the extent of air pruning.

I use plastic #3 nursery pots for VEG and up-pot to a special 7.5gal plastic pot for flower. Been doing this for several years.

Bought a bunch of cloth bags that are collecting dust in my basement.

If it aint broke thing. My flower pots are btm watering automated so there's no reason to change now. I can get automated watering with bags instead of plastic containers now but the bags are the 3gal size.

Bigger roots bigger shoots so I'm sticking to 7.5gal plastic
