Dr Trevor's Dark Angel, Vanessa & Siobhan, 1/20/20

Today, I fed the girls 3 tsp of Big Bloom, and 2 tsp of Tiger Bloom. I gave Siobhan a 1/4 ts of Cal Max Xtra; I have Vanessa a 1/2 ts as I'm noticing some discoloration on some of her leaves. I also raised the pH a little bit this week, thinking it might be nutrient block. Before, the pH was about 6.3 or 6.4; I've brought it up to about 6.6 or 6.7.

I'll probably get fifty percent more bud from Vanessa. She is so much bigger than her sister.

Today, I fed the girls 3 tsp of Big Bloom, and 2 tsp of Tiger Bloom. I gave them a 1/4 ts of Cal Max Xtra and a 1/4 ts of Cha-Ching. The browning of the leaves continued this past week with Vanessa. None at all with Siobhan.

I adjusted the PH a little more from last week. I may have overdone it last week.

The following pics are all from Siobhan. She's close to twice the size of Vanessa.

I could start my harvest next week.

Which one is the dark Angel? Or are they both dark Angel? They both look really good man!! Don’t stress too much on the browning. My first grow with dark Angel I was in coco, I had a lot of browning leaves. Not as much with the second attempt at DA.

this ^ was the first dark Angel I grew just before chopping.

and the one below is one out of the two from my grow after.

On Monday night, I harvested Vanessa. Her pistols were brown; I couldn't tell the color of the trichomes as my loup never arrived. Halfway through, a friend came by and lent me his loup. Turned out the trichomes were still clear. The bud is now hanging from strings in a box for curing.

I fed Siobhan 3 tsp of Big Bloom, and 2 tsp of Tiger Bloom a 1/4 ts of Cal Max Xtra and a 1/4 ts of Cha-Ching. We'll see about next week for the harvest.

The pics are from Vanessa.

I finished the curing today and, now, Vanessa, is in a mason jar. I only got an ounce now but it's a lot more than I got with Lupe. And Siobhan looks like she'll give me much more than Vanessa!

I did overcure Vanessa. I guess it's just too dry where I am. A book that I read (an older book) says that curing should take three weeks. I've learned that is not the case.

Today (Friday, I'm guessing), I flushed Siobhan, starting with a solution of 2 tsp of Sledgehammer, dissolved in a gallon of water. I poured the solution onto a bent spoon that I held just above the soil so the water won't dig into the soil as much.

I flushed Siobhan with nine gallons of tap water that I left out over night in a Coleman cooler. The cooler has a spigot on it that I attached a length of silicone tubing to; I controlled the flow with the spigot and the tubing to direct where the water would go. This process took about fifty minutes, taking a brief break every two gallons.

I fed Siobhan 3 tsp of Big Bloom, 2 tsp of Tiger Bloom, a 3/8 tsp of Cal Mag Xtra and a 1/4 ts of Cha-Ching. I'm using 50% more Cal Mag as Siobhan's leaves are turning brown. These nutes were mixed in a gallon of water and gently poured into the soil with the above-mentioned spoon. This took about fifteen minutes, allowing breaks to let the solution be absorbed into the soil.

Trichomes are still clear. I check them every other day.

nice picture what do you think about this
its my first grow

I'm not the best judge as I am only on my third grow. I remember all the discussion regarding your lighting. Keep it in mind.

Looks like Siobhan is ready to for harvest! I'll be doing it tomorrow with a friend (who is new on the board).

Last night, with the help of a friend, I harvested Siobhan. I got more from her than I did from Vanessa and Lupe combined. So, now it's time to close this journal and prepare for the next two.

Thank you, everyone, for your help.

No. The trichomes are on the newer leaves. They look like little mushrooms. At first, they're clear. Then they turn milky white (that's when you harvest). When they start to turn brown, that's when you really need to harvest.

You need to use a loupe to get a good look at them. What I've done was take pictures of the leaves with my phone at full zoom. Then I blow up the pics on my computer. The photos will be fuzzy, but you can see the colors.
