So first off let me say this is my third grow did some research and messed up big on my first grow but live and learn got an eighth from it second attempt was better got 14 gram so hoping to do a lot better this time. Also posting this from cell phone so sorry if I mess up formatting it. On to the setup info :thanks:

Strains: Girl Scout Crack (H), Lemonchello (S), and Critical Purple Kush (I)
Breeder: Seedmans
Planted: 2/26/19
Growing indoors in soil
Pot: Vivosun 5 gallon fabric pots
Soil: Foxfarm Ocean Forest (75%) and Perlite (25%)
Nutes: General Hydroponis Go Box
Light: Vivosun 600w led
Tent: 2x2x4 grow tent
Carbon filter and inline fan: Vivosun 4 inch 203 cfm kit

So I started by soaking one of each seed in water for around a day until they sank to the bottom. Then planted them was think of doing the paper towel but decided I was not willing to risk harming the tap root. I have been keeping the soil moist with water ph at 6. Will post photos and updates.

So on lunch and got the photos to add :)

It might be worth doing some reading on the benefits of up potting as you go. It helps with root development, and creates must stronger plants.

It's common practice for people with Auto Flowers to start in the pot they plan to finish, but with photos it's ideal to step your way up.

With a larger pot to begin your grow, your watering technique really has to be on point.

I know that's not what you wanted to hear at this stage, but it will certainly help you in the long run.

I'm battling a similar issue with space.

I use 4 techniques (1 of which I have trouble with in my current setup due to reservoir access)

  • Topping at 4th node
  • LST, which it seems you have a handle on
  • Supercropping, this is tough to trust yourself doing but in the end it works great. There are a few videos out there, my favorite is anything @Pigeons420 produces. He's got a great video on how to supercrop, it's on his youtube channel.
  • Scrog, this is an easy, low stress way to manage the vertical growth, but the plants are much harder to move around once in place. I wish I could use this in my RWDC but I havent figured out a way to do it and still have access for ressy cleaning and changes.

DWC is great but, soil/coco/promix offers a ton of benefits too.

I love growing regardless of the method, find your groove and stick to it, get great at it, then branch out. I have jumped from one method to another, but I'm always switching things up, and it has scratched that curiosity but hasn't progressed my growing skills as much as others who have done one things really well.

Congrats!

At first it’s easiest to follow the feed sked outlined out by your nutrient company. Almost all companies will have the program on their site.

Once you start there you can always extent or shorten veg depending on your success. Veg is super vital, so if you hurry through it your results might not be optimized.

I like to follow threads where @SeedsMan seeds are being grown. I have a Girl Scout Crack started.....maybe three weeks old give or take. The GSC wants to stretch and with a lot going on I didn't catch this till she was already 8" tall. If you don't want yours looking like mine get her up as close to the light as she'll allow. Just snapped this pic minutes ago.

BTW...…….I have Lemonchello Haze seeds too that I will be running at some point. So I will be keeping an eye on how yours is doing for you.

Well once I caught her doing her stretching I moved her up onto a couple small boxes. Guessing right now she is 12" below my 450W LED light. You can see what a difference it made just looking at the last 3 nodes that grew out. Much closer together.
