So I have a couple girls in flower with all cloudy trichnomes. They are sativa dominant from bag seed, but both are different strains because they grew different & have different flower smells. Ive been cutting little samples off & drying them to test. Here is the odd part. They smell live on the plant. But when dried there isn't much of a smell to the buds if any at all. Smokes good & feels good. Just no odor to the dried stuff. What gives? is it just going to be that way because of genetics or environment? Is there anything you can do to promote them to smell? I almost thought about putting some mint leaves in with them while drying to maybe absorb that a bit. Its just my personal stuff so I dont mind experimenting to see what helps.
......later on..
I clipped a couple more samples off. Used the wash method with baking soda then water rinse. But this time instead of lemon juice. I added small drops of pure vanilla extract with the baking soda water mix.
