Driftme Redemption - Hydro - LED Closet Grow - Plus Mothers In Soil

Starting a new grow with some found seeds. Germinated four of them. Two seeds are going in soil and will be used for cutting clones. I'll pick the stronger of the other two and place it in my General Hydroponics Powergrower eco system. I'm using General Hydro's 3 part Flora nutrient system. The light comes from two 90w LED lights, and it's all contained in a reflective tent in my office closet.

hoping to give you guys some nice bud porn this time around, and get myself a nice harvest!

today's gonna be the first update, and a big one!

sorry its so long between posts.. i've been incredibly busy recently. bit off more work projects than i could chew haha =]

anyway, i'm currently presoaking 3 rockwool cubes. going to be cutting clones today. the mother plant is definitely ready to be cloned, she's looking great. oh yea, only one of the sprouted seeds ended up being a viable plant. i'm not sure about those sure-to-grow cubes, they seemed to grow mildew very fast.. before the seed was able to even sprout fully. so im back to rockwool for the future

so the one seed that sprouted in a jiffy pot was planted in a 50/50 soil-perlite blend, in a 3L airpot. i let it grow in there until it really seemed to have a beefy root system, and recently transplanted it to a large non-airpot. it's growing nicely.

i just set up a cloning area on the other side of the closet, with flourescents for the light. i'll get the clones rooted in there, and then put 2 into soil and one into my powergrower.

ok so... grabbed some more bag seeds and started another grow. four seeds sprouted, two were female. started flowering 4 weeks ago. i have no idea what these are, they were just some seeds i had laying around.

basically i just have two unknown plants in airpots and soil, with two led ufo lights, some supplemental fluorescent, in a tent.

looks like maybe a hybrid sativa/indica and one definitely more sativa

grabbed some more pics last night of the sativa. a few different types of light =]

these have about one more week before i need to harvest them. that would be a total of 6-7 weeks. if i absolutely have to, i can let them grow another week, but that would mean drying and curing them on the road while i move lol.

just clipped a couple smallish buds.. trichs are looking milky, with the occasional amber. the sativa i'd like to harvest before it's too amber. the other one is definitely not ready yet, hopefully will be closer by the end of the week.

the harvest went well. will upload more pictures when i have time.

the sativa was trimmed so there was one main cola and 4 small stalks around it. i actually clipped it earlier in the week because the trichomes were mostly milky with a couple amber. that one is now curing and after drying weighs in at around 9g.

the other one was trimmed to be just one stalk, and is currently drying. wet weight was 40g, so should i guess be similar yield.

this is the presumed sativa, before drying/trimming. this is right after the chop. at this point, the trichomes were milky, with a couple amber here and there.

this is the other plant, after trimming, its still drying.

this is the main stalk of that sativa. getting almost dry enough to cure

and finally, all the sativa chopped up and in a glass jar.

the other plant is still drying but i'll probably jar it up tomorrow.

Smoke Report:

Picked out one small bud from the sativa, which my gf wanted to call "Bananas Foster". (i think she's been wanting that for dessert lol) After smoking it, I don't have a problem with the name, but i'll be calling it Bananas Froster, because of how frosty it looked when growing. =]

Ok, so.. the buds have been only curing for a day or so.. but this particular bud was pretty smokable. Taste wasn't bad at all, almost like cinnamon? But they smell fruity. Not so much like bananas, but more like watermelon. Took me a second to figure out what i was smelling. Taste is totally different, but we'll see what happens as it cures.

The high.. so nice. For just a random bag seed I'm pretty impressed. Its smooth, very psychadelic. Makes me want to get up and make butter out of the trimmings ive been saving.

Oh and a clean burn. Nothing but white ash in the end.

Can't wait to try the next one (or this one in a month+!)
