Deputy Ron Baggett and drug dog Charlie show off some of the evidence confiscated, including magazines that tell readers how to grow and process marijuana. Two search warrants executed by Clarke County Sheriff's Deputies Tuesday led to the arrest of four people and confiscation of a good bit of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.
According to Deputy Ron Baggett, who led the investigation, complaints about drug activity led to undercover operations in the Zimco community and at Woodland Trailer Park in Jackson. The search warrant in the Zimco area was executed at the home of Kendall and Jason Pugh on King Institute Road. Seventeen small bags of marijuana, packaged for distribution, two large bags of marijuana, $500 cash, scales, plastic bags and other paraphernalia used in packaging drugs was found. Everything was confiscated including a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria.
Jason Pugh was charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, first degree. Kendall Pugh was charged with possession of marijuana, first degree.
The search warrant in Jackson was executed at the home of Dirrick Reed on Samantha Drive. Reed and a friend, Shell Cobbs, were at the residence. Officers found marijuana, scales, packaging materials and other drug paraphernalia. They also found two magazines devoted to the instruction of growing and processing marijuana.
Reed was charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, second degree. Cobbs was charged with possession of marijuana, second degree.
All those arrested were taken to Clarke County Jail.
