during transplant in new pot, newly mixed soil almost all perlite parts drained in tub?

when i was watering them all the perlite parts came out thru the bottom hole. when i finished watering it took a little bit of time for the pot to drain. now what? should i wait till dry and then readd soil again? plant was 5wks old and i dont want to mess up the grow bc my new added soil contains not enough perlite and doesnt drain properly

Go light on the watering. When you can, remove the whole dirt ball from the pot. Best with two people, hold it upside down, hands holding what would be the soil surface, plant stalk carefully held between the two open hands. Have helper remove the pot straight up and off. Then add a bit of gravel or lava rock to the bottom of the pot, large enough to stay in the pot. Just a layer to give the bottom a chance to dry and breath between waterings. Put your dirt ball back in and add dirt as needed.

You can also add window screen to the bottom of the pot to keep media in.
