DWC Blue Dream First Grow Hydro

Hi everyone very excited to post my very first grow journal! I've been smoking medicinal cannabis only about 4 years and I'm in a legal state so hopefully I can manage to get a decent yield from my 4 blue dreams seeds. I germinate these guys with the paper towel method then placed the little ladies in my buckets on August 25th. Unfortunately I think I lost some time by not running full spectrum on my light for the first 10 days or so but I've been using full spectrum now for a few days and have seen phenomenal growth since I changed that. I've had good luck with my ph and have been able to keep my ppm's around 500. (Not sure if that should be higher, any advice would be greatly appreciated).

So here we are at week 3 in the buckets and the ladies are measuring at about 8 inches tall and a girth of about 11 inches. Any suggestions on how long I should veg them? I'm working with 7 vertical feet but hopefully the scrog will work as planned and I can count on that making them bushy fingers crossed.

Looking forward to learning much more with this grow from the amazing group of growers here!

One more thing what do you guys think about the derpy plant picture I included? I'm afraid that might even be a different type of cannabis altogether. The others love as much nutes as I can give em but this lady always does this yellowing thing in the middle of new leaves. Any thoughts?

Welcome aboard

Couple thoughts

Natural light pics are much better to judge yer babies in

Are u using an enzymes cleaner like hydroguard or z7?

How often do you change the water?

What nutes and what % of manufacturer suggested amount ya using?

Water/nutes pH?

Good luck

Hey thanks chris!
I've only been using the general hydroponic nutes at a little over 1/2 of what's suggested although I've thought about bumping them up I just don't think that one plant will be able to handle anymore.

AS far as water changes I haven't changed out yet but was thinking that might be something I have to do this week. I'm using bottled distilled water phd at around 6

Should change water every week

And get some hydroguard

I'd keep the GH nutes at half, I run the GH Flora Trio at half myself in DWC, always good results

Remember, even same strain plants can react differently to % of nute strength, that one may need less, or calmag, or something, keep that in mind

Gotcha! I'll be changing the water out today.

Anyone know how long I should veg this blue dream? I've heard some say as little as 6-7 weeks in hydro. Also heard that the plant will let you know when to flip when the newest leaves aren't the same but staggered on the stem. What's everyone's typical veg time? I'm sure every strain will vary but I know this blue dream has incredible stretch during flowing and defiantly do not want to risk vegging for too long and outgrowing my tent.

The pics were just taken today being the 34 day in veg.

I'm so impressed with these ladies! They're big and full and they've got me on my toes with this scrog lol everyday it's tuck tuck tuck. I dropped my ppms when I did the water change and the little girl in the back perked up quite a bit. Still not doing as good as the other three but better than it was..

Ok well I'm getting pretty frustrated with how my scrog is going so far. I thought I had a better understanding of the process. I've asked others on different groups and they all tell me tuck tuck tuck but it's never that easy lol. Any suggestions? Maybe a video or link that could give me a little better knowledge. TIA

Sorry it's been awhile since I updated but I had oral surgery a couple weeks ago but I'm back and ready to finish up this first journal for me.

Ok so first off I'm in week 2 of flowering. Before I switched em I did a good defoliation bordering on full blown swazzing lol. My hubby and son weren't so pleased with what was left by the time I was done lol

So I'm added pics of my defoliation which was 2 weeks ago and I'll show you guys what they look like now. You might be surprised lol

So after the defoliation I found out that one of the ladies was actually a gentleman so got him out in time no problem there (I hope) and now we just wait. I've learned tons from this first grow but also so much from the forums here. Thanks to anyone tagging along still stay blazed ❤

Good Saturday!!! We’re rolling right along now at Day 19 flower. I did a little more defoliation today just to try and get as much of that light as I can on these gorgeous buds! This is definitely going to be the longest 6 weeks of my life!! Lol

After the scare with root rot I started to add the hydroguard every Saturday when I feed and the roots are looking amazing!!

I do have a question tho what should I be adding at this point besides my nutes to help assure I’ve got some good dense buds? (If anything)

Im finally at the end of week six of flower. Took some time with the girls today got some decent macro shots. Which of course just caused more questions lol. Ok so I definitely wasn't expecting this many cloudy and amber trichomes at only the end of six weeks. Should I go ahead and start flushing? I absolutely do not want couch lock!
