Elevated Lighting Company Grow Light Discussion

Hi Everyone :ciao:

The sharp-eyed amongst you will have spotted that the title of this thread has changed from "Budget LED Grow Light Discussion" to "Elevated Lighting Company Grow Light Discussion".

You will also see Budget's username and avatar change in the near future.

Reason being, Budget have merged with their sister business, Elevated Lighting Company.

We just want to reassure you that it's the same ownership, the same people and the same products. :thumb:

Thanks Teddy!

Teddy is correct. We merged our two sites into one so we could expand our product and service offerings. Also, our old site was being delisted on google and many other platforms and payment services due to our association with the cannabis industry.

So Paypal is back, Amazon Pay is back, Bitcoin soon!

Thanks again to the 420 Mag members that supported our brand(s) over the last couple of years. As a cannabis lover myself, it is great to belong to such a great community of people!

Happy Growing!

Justin

what's their issue ? you're running a legal business selling legal goods.

i'm wondering if a move to an outright legal jurisdiction like canada might be an idea. cannabis businesses are allowed to make use of the banking system and have access to investment and capital services here.

Hey Bluter- hope all is well. None of the companies will say why. All my personal accounts are restricted on most social media sites. Our Attorney
Said it is most likely the logo and / or comp reporting it.

hmmm. we just don't have those prejudices here, but your business is international. i've never heard of anyone in the industry here having that difficulty, but i don't know what would happen once it crosses the border.

Hey #budgetcrew!

I started a grow journal! Check it out here!

they are done. couldn't compete with poorly built offshore junk being constantly pushed by other members and echoed by the board.

you can identify the emitter and solder in a replacement if you have the skills. really not that hard. requires an electronics soldering iron at the least. i would do it soon, as it may be passing a higher curent to the rest stressing that particular circuit. you could burn more or lose the board. possibly worse.

i fix all kinds of leds for a local business. used to build and sell my own.

awww that sux that they went out of business. the diode is one of the UV ones, and since the bord has a UV switch off, im tempted to use it with the switch off.
i live in colombia (south america) and i dont trust most electricians here so I was hopin i could hust remove the diode and just use the lamp woth th uv off. sending it to the US for someone to fix it would be just as expensive as getting a new board.

thanks for the quick reply though

you can run it without the uv. it won't make a much of a difference. i wouldn't run the uv with a burnt diode.

edit : to be certain - you could fix that with a little research and a half decent adjustable soldering iron. the emitter should be listed in your purchase specs somewhere. it looks to be an easy fix to me. the emitter failed, not the board.

My original comment was unnecessary, however I don’t know how to delete it

makes no difference. it's great that you add to the knowledge and conversation.

Have two of the QB's - no issues yet _ Yea! they went out of business - believe the owner is running "Clone Cellar" now. He couldn't compete with the "big boys" concerning lighting which I totality understand. Hope he is doing wel with his new endevor (his clone prices are very good - $35.00, haven't considered buying clones. thoughts on clones thru the mail ?

I appreciate that. When I was younger I was definitely guilty of going with whatever I could afford. As I got older though I realized I needed to be more conscious about where I was spending my money and where my products were actually coming from. A lot of companies will bend over backwards to try to mask where they’re based out of and that always sends up red flags to me. When it comes to electronics and electronic components, especially ones that will be running hard for a long time in your home, it’s wise to choose quality. In my experience, anything I’ve purchased that’s American made has stood strong against everything I’ve thrown at it.

It’s very similar to construction. Americans often cannot compete with outsourced work due to prices. Quality work and materials cost a premium as they should. Not everyone has an eye for quality though and often they can only see the short term bottom line.

I’ve paid the price for going cheap on an electronic and it literally burst into flames. Thankfully I was standing right there when it happened, I would’ve lost everything had I been gone or asleep.

My only hesitation would be location specific pests and diseases spreading. Beyond that, I don’t think there’s any more risk getting them mailed than there is buying them from a store. Until the industry is federally regulated (I’m not advocating, I’m just saying lol) there’s gonna be a patchwork of rules to follow so I don’t see any difference in going to a dispensary versus a mail order specialist.

I could be wrong af though 😂 thats just my opinion. You’re gonna want to quarantine them regardless of where they came from. The only major issue I can foresee is if you have any complaints, it’s a lot harder to hold someone accountable over the phone than in person.

with all the issues lately i only get clones from very trusted private sources. so many nightmares reported from introducing commercial clones that i avoid it like the plague.

@Bill284 had a much worse experience with crappy built offshore shit.

i agree with your take on north american built products. i'll choose a higher priced quality product every time.
