Fan choice: Active Air versus Apollo

I can get an Active Air (Hydrofarm) fan or an Apollo one with a controller built in, for pretty much the same price. Is the Hydrofarm stuff better than Apollo in terms of lifespan or anything?

Hydrofarm stuff in my experience is just another brand rebranded. I bought one of their digital light timers in the past and it crapped out before I got to use it. I would expect Apollo and Hydrofarm to be equivalent in terms of quality.
