Farm Bureau, Kentucky Congressman Urge Wisconsin To Legalize Hemp As A Crop

Wisconsin Farm Bureau president Jim Holte and Kentucky Congressman James Comer team up on a column posted on WisOpinion urging the Wisconsin Legislature to pass bills that will legalize the growing of hemp as a farm product. They write how hemp was once a huge Wisconsin crop, and they believe it can be one again.

The Racine Journal Times implores Congress to restore funding for the Children's Health Insurance Program, which provides health services to 9 million American children, but was allowed to expire on Sept. 30. This is too important a program that benefits poor kids and needs to be funded, the paper insists.

On Urban Milwaukee, columnist Steve Walters gives readers a chance to decide how they'd rule on Wisconsin's redistricting, which is now before the U.S. Supreme Court. Walters lists the dueling arguments made before the court this week and asks how you would rule.
