Day 16 Veg: I have to admit I was worrying for nothing now.!!!. These girls have hit the ground now and want to get busy. The growth over a couple of days has shocked me. I can see what folks mean now when talking about autos. I do feel more confident of getting the training in too for some of them. I am still wrestling Mrs GG's purse zip for the Megacrop but blew it for todays attempt when she commented about me paying if it was a " boob job" !!!
Being a smart arse I told her she didnt need to waste money on having one and that rubbing toilet tissue between them will make them grow a lot bigger . She looked at me, as she does and asked how the hell that would work ?
I told her I had no fucking idea but it had worked on her arse !!!
It is freezing in this coal bunker too !.
I managed to get some.pics while she was searching the tool box for a decent hammer.
There are still a couple of girls with a paler colour but they are colouring up slowly since feeding started and the LOS girls should get better too hopefully. I am impressed with the Bluedreamatic and how it has caught up with the bigger smoothie girls very quickly. Seeing the damage in the #2 smoothie has me head scratching but with some tlc she will hopefully crack in with it now.#3 is the biggest girl in my eyes so far but the LOS are starting to go vertical more now. BlackBerry wont be tall girls I dont think so they will be allowed a bit more freedom to grow than the others.

Because she couldnt get up the loft as I had the ladder with me up here. I hoped she had gone to work by now but when I lift the hatch to see ,..... she is still there , looking up , grinning. lolNo you fool!

Late to the show. Found out where all the cool kids have been hanging.
Fastbuds plus Mega Crop sounds up my alley. Their Blue Dream'matic is a personal favorite and consistent yielder, as are most Fastbuds strains. Pulled 12oz off a single Blue Dream'matic back in June (crop total of two Blue Dream'matics and a Girl Scout Cookie totaled 29.5). That's in a 32"x32" tent, grown in a peat based soil-less mix using Mega Crop. If it's of any help, I ususlly top around the 5th node (around day 21) and bowl train thereafter. Average time from sprout to harvest is 72-80 days.

Hey Farside , welcome aboard mate. Your input is more than welcome mate and already you have answered some niggling doubts and worries. Thank you.
As for the cool kids , I think we have all rolled to the bottom of a pit from the "serious growers" club on the hill . lol
We do get some 420 royalty through occasionally which is always an honour but in general we are the ooops story's.lol
Enjoy the fun and thank you for the tips. Will be using them now. MC is ordered ( I begged enough and accepted it as an early christmas present.lol ) and if it doesnt perform , she says I have to finish it myself !!!. ( also sounds very familiar to us married men !!!). Will get your name plate for your chair mate, always a seat. green days.

Sorry also meant to say. bloody hell that was a great result farside. Please feel free to post pics. I am always the only pic poster on my threads for some reason. This goes for all the folks that come over for a visit. Please dont hold back any pics ect, you want to share here guys. Blue Dream-Matic just before chop. You can kinda see I put a pipe cleaner belt around her middle to hold her up for the pic. By that time she was so heavy she was falling all over the place.
Although not Fastbuds autos, last run of Triple Cheese (right) and Peyote Critical (left). The Triple Cheese was a runt. 6oz from her and 9oz from the Peyote Critical. Both ate Mega Crop.

Now I do supplement Silica and Cal-Mag to mine. I'm a firm believer in Silica, and also I have a thing for a N-P-K ratio of 2-1-3 in veg and 2-1-4 for bloom. So I use the Nitrogen from the Cal-Mag to help offset the added K from the Silica (Pro-Tekt) to get to my desired ratios. Are either absolutely necessary? No. Other growers have proven that Mega can stand alone. It's just my personal preference/bug-a-boo.

Holy cow geezer. wow. you are killing it with autos. I do like silica myself too and add it in the coco girls. Not sure if I can do the same with the living organic soil though ?. I know the ecothrive guys say not to use pk products at all with it and also read about cal mag not being used either ?. new medium for me so watching Emily's with eagle eyes. I can see that autos are as productive ( if not more so ) as photos clearly here and they are huge yields too. I think this is why I love 420. There are so many knowledgeable growers in every aspect of the subject. If new growers had the confidence to jump into discussions ect and not fear being ignored ect... many grows would be a resounding success from the off. I have been weed smoking grower for decades now and only in the last 2 years have I actually started to enjoy the learning and variety of ways to grow. seeing the absolute skill of the growers here is an amazing confidence boost to aspire to. I came into the autos as an offer from fb so bought the Mars to run cheaper than my old hps set up and now feel more confident in how they work. I am looking forward to switching on the sp250 soon to really get their photons supply going too. I want your buds.lol

PK Boosters + Mega Crop = Recipe For Disaster. Mega Crop already has high K. Adding anything with additional K, you better tread lightly and know your ratios. Exceed a ratio of 3:1, K to N and you are looking for trouble. There's been a number of people that couldn't resist and blew their plants up (in a bad way). If you are interested I have made a pretty good (maybe a little biased) spreadsheet all kinds of cannabis related calculations (blended N-P-K, Nitrogen loading, feed charts, PPM calculator, tissue sample results, edibles dosing, etc). @MrSauga has gotten pretty good with it. I used to have it shared on my journal but I guess that was a no-no and the mods killed the link. I guess I can only share that via private message. So for anyone that wants it, hit me up.

@MrSauga @InTheShed and I all kinda made the Mega switch at the same time and worked through it together. Sauga is running version 1 of Mega and I think he used the spreadsheet to tweak version 1 to make it come out to version 2 with a few additives. Not sure if he stopped there or adopted my 2-1-3 and 2-1-4 balance. Perhaps he will enlighten further.

Thanks farside. been trying to look intelligent as I looked over them , ohew some numbers going on there.lol . I know their is v3 now too from what I read in the mc thread. This is including their bloom and bud enhancers too so a real all-in-one now it seems. I think I must have a new v3 coming so will see when it lands at the doorstep. How does mc and charts marry up in the autoflower feed schedule?. is there a correlation or assumption from me it could follow the timing but substitute the nutes used from af one ?.
There really is very little difference between version 2 and version 3. Very minor tweaks. The bigger change was from version 1 to version 2. That's when they added the bloom and bud stuff which brought up the P and K numbers over the original. I have half a 2500g bag of #2 and I won't rush to "upgrade" to version 3.
My Autoflower feed cart in the spreadsheet is from when I was using Dyna Gro Foliage Pro. Disregard it.
My Mega Crop schedule looks like this for soil-less (peat based). If you're feeding multiple times a day with coco, you may have to adjust downward. Same if you are using a soil with some nutrition to it. The Cal-Mag and Silica are optional. To replace some of the N that is supplied with the Cal-Mag product, you may have to go .5g higher on the Mega Crop than my chart if you opt out. That's where reading your plant comes in. The "schedule" is just a guideline.
That's as fast as I'll push them (upping nutes every 5 days). If needed I'll slow it down a bit (upping more like every 7 days). If I'm growing photos I'll hang at the 5/5/5 number until I switch to bloom, then I'll progress.
I started using it back in Oct '18 and purchased the Sweet Candy(SE), Bud Explosion(BE) and Kelp Extract at the same time. I didn't know much about the product and shortly realized that the SC and BE can easily kill a crop.
So as farside mentioned I use his spreadsheet, tweaked a little to fit my usage, and then get everything as close to v2 as possible. It's given me a lot of flexibility and I enjoy trying different things. I do try and hit the 2
3 ratio of NPK that he mentioned and maybe going to a 25 during flower or a 15. I've been playing with different ratios and haven't killed my plants so I'm getting smrater at it.Similar threads
