Started building I have a 6 1/2 x8 for flower and 4 1/2x8 for veg.
Will this work or should I make one bigger? 8ft ceilings, I am gonna insulate all walls I live in Michigan and winter is cold. Separate door for each room and gonna devide rooms with stud wall and staple black mil plastic?
I am in soil but gonna eventually go hydro. I have a window in middle and one on veg room that I can seal up?
Wondering how to ad air conditioner and heat when cold so it does both rooms without needing one in each room?
Was gonna sheet inside with drywall not mud it and paint flat white? Any input will be appreciated

Ok...

If u want 6 plants, plenty of room

If you want 24, too small

Lol

Soooooooo, there is that

Easy to add ducting from one room to another down the road
White paint is perfect

Id personally do a solid membrane between room, plastic, well, is plastic
Just be sure flower room is totally light proof

Looking good

I can only have 12 so six flowering is perfect one every two weeks rotating.
So is 6x8 gonna work for 6 and the veg room plants will be smaller

Have to do something I’m out of room in the house lol

Welcome from Central Michigan. Yes you'll have enough space. I would use white plastic before black but as noted flat white dry wall works great.

A mini split will give you individual control of each room with one single condensing unit. The good heat pumps can run heat until the colder days of winter up here now as well. But even a cheap AC only is better than a portable AC unit or window shaker

That's why I said mini split. Also known as ductless AC or ductless heat pump. Condensing unit goes outside like Central air. The "cold" part hangs on the wall inside.

I like using heat mats under the pots, indirect heat, less chance of hurting the plants. A mini split can provide warm air for a portion of the year here in Michigan.

Gloss refers to the ability to reflect light. A high gloss reflects more light than low gloss. Flat paint is harder to clean, and does not reflect more light. It does disperse light better eliminating the chance for hot spots, but that is not usually a problem. Take a piece of white paper and white poly in a room with a low light, and see which is brighter.
