Thanks for the encouragement Stage and welcome aboard. She's coming back strong, I'll post pics tonight or tomorrow. Not sure if she's gonna flux out or not. I haven't started training because of her health issues. I might just grow her into a Bush. I'll give it another week and see where she's at.

Alright 420 peeps. Here we are at day 35 of veg.

Looking better. Finally getting some vertical growth. I am a bit unsure of how to move forward with her training... I totally blew it when i fim/topped her. I guess I took off too much I dont have 4 arms growing in a + shape yet but there is a ton of new growth and I'm still a noob when it comes to plant structure. I've got shit sprouting out of everywhere off the main stem lol.

As you can see she didn't Y or + on me she just shot straight up.
And yeah pardon the dirty fingernails...Spinning wrenches is my day job. I think that's Jeep grease

So it would appear I need to top her again to get my 2 flux arms going.
I am just soooo leery of chopping on her right now because shes finally growing.

What do you guys think? Has she bounced back enough to attempt a second topping? If I wait too much longer she will be too tall to train on my torture rack.

Or should I just let her be. Grow a lil bush and be happy with her....

Good evening fellow 420r's

So I spent a few hours perusing the web and researching cannabis plant structure. I now see where I fouled up when I originally topped her. So with Cheezy on the rebound and vigorous new growth I topped her again. I am determined to flux her out. She might not be POTM when shes done but damnit she will bend to my will muahahahaha.

So with a proper topping, FINALLY ideal tent conditions and much love. I have dropped the torture rack onto the bucket....god help me.

My flux arms aren't long enough to tuck but i wanted to get some pressure applied to the main stem to prevent much more vertical growth. I may use a spacer between the torture rack and the bucket if needed. It may even provide easier pruning with more space between the bucket and rack. I'll go with what I have for the moment though and see how it all plays out.

CFL's in the pic are for photo taking purposes only. I am only using the Vipar LED for veg and flower. I may bust them out for some side lighting if needed but I really want so see what 100% LED can do.

I bought a 4 pack of 6500k and a 4 pack of 2700k but I only bought 4 reflectors/sockets. So I can mix and match as needed. I germinated and vegged the first week with three 6500k and one 2700k. Seemed to work like a champ. They are bright as hell and super cheap.

thats a tricky pic because the node you see there is actually the 3rd node. I replanted deeper in the netpot for rooting issues earlier and ended up trimming the bottom 2 leafsets/branches off completely and those nodes are now residing under hydroton.

Alright here we are at day 40 of veg

I've got her trimmed up and shaped to a proper Y

Any thoughts about where I topped her? I realize I waited way to long before topping and the stem was mature where I snipped her. It's the hole down the middle of the stem that's bothering me...should I plug or cap it somehow? Drip a bit of hot wax...50 shades of grass or superglue on top? I had expected it to seal itself up by now as I topped it 5 days ago. Please let me know what you guys think.

how long do you plan to veg?
I veg for 3 weeks mainly once in awhile 4 weeks if I don't have space to put it in bloom
but it seems to have been stressed a lot should be a lot bigger at 40 days
plant looks healthy tho I don't train much unless I have space issues
maybe let her do her thing for a bit and get over the heavy defoliating and stress

Yeah she's a runt and I have Almost killed her twice. The new growth looks good and now that she's shaped and under the rack I plan on leaving her alone for a while.

I plan to veg her out to the edges of my bucket before letting her go vertical. I have no idea how long that will take. I'm guessing at least another 4-6 weeks If not longer.

Alright time for an update Did a res change today. When I mixed up my fresh nutes I upped my ppm to 800. That 800 includes my micro/flora/calimag and great white. I hope the stronger mix (was at 400ppm) will kickstart some faster growth.

I'm going to grab a humidifier this weekend. I'ts still a little dry in my tent.
I'll add the second set of rods to the rack in a day or two. She just needs to grow just a bit more. Roots look great. New growth is strong.

Well she had responded well to the 800ppm so I'll leave her there till we get ready to flower. I just ordered another air pump...this will be pump #3 lol. The first put out a ton of air but damn it was loud. The second pump is quiet but not enough bubbles. I am also using an 8" round air diffuser that doesn't sit flat in the bottom of my res so I'll be changing it out for 4 smaller air stones that should fit better. I'll post pics later tonight.

Hello my 420 friends...time for an update

so here we are at 50 of veg. Cheezy is kicking butt!!!

I installed my new air pump and stones. There is more air for sure now but I still want more. I may hook up my whisper pump and just run both pumps at once.


I NEED HELP WITH THIS PLEASE

It looks like a cal/mag deficiency to my untrained eye. I have checked ph everyday twice a day since day 1. i have calibrated my ph meter and double checked with a liquid ph test kit. it's always between 5.6 and 6.1

I add in GH CaliMag @ their recommended dosage 4ml per gallon. Is this enough for DWC LED growing? The spots and discoloration starts on the older fan leaves. The new growth is perfectly fine. Again I run the lucas formula 8/16 with GH nutes around 800ppm.

I turn to the community for help and will gladly listen to any advice. It has me worried a bit.
