First Grow, First Journal & Hoping For First Harvest

Never tried it myself but things look like they're back on track. With the trunks starting to thicken they are getting ready for all the extra weight.

They all look great. You might even get something something from the little dude. So cool
Thanks, The little one has a purple vein running up it. It is growing the same as the bigger ones however it's midgetized.

Well the plants seem to have survived topping or fimming as it may be. Only did 2 out of 4 and left the little one alone. Got myself a 30 pint dehumidifier so will see how that does come tomorrow morning. Set it to 60% and it can go down to 35% which should be good for drying when it comes. We are at day 22 and would anyone care to mention how long vegging goes for. I look at the cocotek feed chart and it talks 30 days yet I see in posts at least 18 inches tall. Time to get educated. My room is starting to look like a hydroponic store. I have Cocotek grow A & B, Bloom A & B, Cal-mag, diamond nectar, Flora blend, Fruit n fusion, Liquid Kool bloom. Hope there is no expiry date lol.

We are at day 23. The fimmed or topped plants are doing good. I had planned on leaving the last bigger one alone but tried fimming it. Any input on whether I did it right is appreciated. gave them no grow nutes but did give them some water with Cal-mag, diamond nectar and some flora blend. Top pic fimmed today. Bottom two pics fimmed Friday.

Forgot to update on my dehumidifier. Had it plugged in yesterday and went to bed. Woke up and it was OFF. Like WTF, Guess when I rejigged my electrical I made a small boo boo, I plugged it into the wrong connection. When the fans shut down for low temps so too did the dehumidifier. I fixed that this morning and when I got home from work. Temps in the tent were 82 with 45% humidity. That's acceptable. The real test will come tonight when the lights shut off. Daylight savings time has messed me up. I had it set so the lights came on when my alarm clock went off. That was so I could check the plants when I got up. Don't know if I can or should fix that. The pop bottle in the pics is a 2 liter size. It gives the size comparisons as we all know what the pop bottle looks like. When we sell puppies my wife keeps putting their pics online and I keep saying take a pic of the puppy next to a pop can or it looks like its a full size dog. On edit, I count 9 on some of the leaves. Is that normal.

We are now day 25. Didn't feed any water on Sunday or Monday. Trying @Emilya technique. Gave them 2 liters of water with 2.5 ml Calmag, 3 ml diamond nectar and 3 ml flora blend. Then I gave them another two liters with some grow A & B in it. 2 ml's of each. No runoff so assume it was pretty dry. Poured 500 ml into the saucers and 1/2 hour later that was gone. I might have over watered but not too sure. I think I may have also figured out my humidity problem. This morning temps were 70 with lights out for almost 6 hours. Humidity was 41. The dehumidifier has a built in humidistat but it's garbage. I have two and both read the same but the on board sensor is JUNK and does not read correctly. How I work that is Inkbird's humidistat. Humidity goes up and it powers up the dehumidifier. Kept the Danby on continuous running rather than rely on it's sensor. Will know more tomorrow. The little plant is still growing but turning into a midgetized version of the other Purple Kush I have going.

almost my method... but not quite. The only way to overwater is to water too often. You almost watered to runofff, but it sounds like there may be just a little bit more to go. I would come back once again and water from the top slowly until you start getting runoff... its not going to take a lot at this point.
Then wait again for it to dry out. Congrats and a big pat on the back for waiting this long and for it to get this dry before you watered... you are almost there! :peace::love:

Good thing I am using bottled water that is oxygenated. Don't want to drown them with wet water. lol I poured a few bottles into a 5 gallon pail with an aquarium air pump with two 4 inch stones and another aquarium pump in the pail to fill my two liter pop bottle. This way I can dispense measured amounts of water. Have a clean 500 ml bottle, 1 liter bottle and my two liter bottle.

We are day 26. I did lower the lights some more yesterday as in altitude not intensity. I took a very good look at the tallest plant and compared it from the watering and lower lighting. I should have taken a pic for comparison but I think they grew about 3/4 inch over the last 24 hours. You can see the tape measure. I did hold my hand at plant height and while warm It is not hot. I know what it is like to sit at the beach and feel the sun beat down. It might be the oscillating fan keeping temps low. Dehumidifier is working awesome but the built in humidistat is JUNK. I have it set to continuous run with an Inkbird sensor combo powering it. Should really hep when flowering. The bottom pic was taken yesterday.

We are day 29 and I found out Nestle pure life that the plants were liking is pH'd at 7.3 WTF. I should have tested it long ago as I had the meter along with a TDS meter. I have about a 3 gallon reservoir bucket that is aerated so I did the nutes 6 ml each grow A & B then did a pH reading of 7.4 so added 3 ml pH down and it's showing 6.3 Gave the plants water on Wednesday and nothing till just now as per @Emilya instructions. Also changed buckets to a 5 gallon reservoir. Hopefully the plants perk up some. And the black ducting, That's my fan extractor piping which should do a good job of vacuuming up any little fliers in there. Have not seen anything yet but the other day. ANTS in my room, Not the tent but in the room. I killed mass amounts (60-80) over the last two days and haven't seen any since yesterday afternoon when I got one straggler. Also picked up some ant bait.

Just thought I'd pop in and wow you've been busy!

Excellent job on the dehumidifier wish I had one, and your watering schedule is nigh on perfect but as Emilyia said you need a little run off.

Your girls look great, really thriving now. Better than mine actually, I'm on day 35 myself and yours are so bushy and vibrant compared to mine.

Oh you asked about vegetative growth. And while I'm no expert I simplify the stages in 30 day intervals. Seedling / Veg, bloom and flower. By day 90ish your ready to harvest.

But most people will go with 60 veg, 30 flower or something like that. Some people have been telling me to try a red light filter or blurples (blue purple) for the last 30 days. So I'm going for it.

Hey, again good bloody job mate!

we are day 32. Not too much changed. Gave them some nutes and pH water 6.23 I am hoping that since I mixed the nutes and Ph two days ago and being aerated that it's OK. water was somewhat cloudy. The plants also sucked up a lot of water. Took two liters per plant and then I just took the hose form the pump and gently watered till I got runoff. I am guessing it took 2.2 liters total per plants in 3 gallon pots. That was 1:30 pm and 4 hours later I took these pics.

We are now day 35. Plants are between 12 and 15 inches tall now. Funny enough the scrawny one is 14 inches and might just get something from her yet. Fed some stronger nutes today. Used 2.2 liters of water per pot. With 12 liters in the reservoir I added 27 ml of grow A & grow B. 30 ml of Florablend, 30 ml Diamond Nectar and 3 ml Cal-Mag. Hopefully they like it as I did pH the water to 6.4 I may just start flowering next Thursday. We will see where we are height wise. The plant at the front right is the scrawny one. White widow and Chocolope are the two tallest ones and in the back left is the Purple Kush. Chocolope is front left. The lights are doing well and I am keeping them about 6 inches from the plants. been that way for two weeks now with no issues.

Light Stress Training(LST) Consists of tying down branches, bending main stems over(mainly when plant is young and pliable). I would also consider topping and super cropping as LST as well. Basically manipulating the plant so that you can focus the lights on smaller shoots of the plant to even canopy!

Ah, see I learned something now. I did try fimming on 3 plants but think it only worked on one. I did have some zap straps but didn't want to break something. I will read up on that and try it next go around. Thanks
I don’t recommend supercropping or any other high stress training on your first grow is what I keep reading but lst has been super super beneficial to me on my first grow as I constantly tie down the main cola she will keep shooting bud site more and more so instead you get a more even canopy with better light penetration and a exponentially higher yield. I’ll post a quick picture so you can see the even canopy on my auto and the countless bud sites .I to am a first time grower and most of what I’ve learned has been on this community....nevertheless your plants are looking awesome to me with that natural look rock on brother

Here is a pic taken just moments ago. Did I fimm it right. I figure I must have hit the nute sweet spot. They grew today. It's a visible thing from when I looked at them while feeding. Also no signs of nute burn. Feeding is quite a little process. I keep non pH'd water in a 5 gallon aerated bucket. I add grow A with a 3 ml syringe 9x and then grow B same rinsed syringe again 9x. then the nutes with the same rinsed syringe. Then we pH it. Then fill a 2 liter bottle and water the plants then hold the hose over the soil to wet it till runoff. Then refill 5 gallon reservoir. Takes about an hour so yeah I look at the plants.
