Question for the pro's, why would the top stems of the one plant be turning red? Is that genetics like purple hues or is that a problem i need to take care of?

Canadian.

First of all, I’m not a pro, but I will chime in,
@Emilya is absolutely correct, great knowledge you have!! We are all spoiled to have members like you here! :passitleft:

One thing I noticed, that I want to bring up to your attention, once you move your lights into your tent, try keeping your lights at the same height keeping an even canopy of your lights. :bong:

@CanadianTripleEH

I understand the entire concept of why your keeping the plants in the bathroom, 100%

I just want to add that, while your plants are in veg, you don’t necessarily need a carbon air filter for the smell. They don’t “actually” start smelling untill a couple weeks into flower. Yeah they have may have a small hue of marijuana when you rub he leaves with your fingers and or a small fragrance in the air coming off them, but nothing to when it flowers.

How big is your exhaust hole from the tent? It’s probably got a few eh? Well, what I’m thinking is if you get a fan that’s big enough to comfortably fit in the void, flip it so that it’s drawing air from the tent and pushing it out, some how take a big rubber band and wrap it around the material on the fan or tape it somehow, so it has a somewhat seal. Open a air hole or something from the bottom of the tent so the fan is drawing fresh air in from the bottom and removing it at the top with the fan. Have an Oscillating fan in the tent to help move stale air in the tent, and I’m hoping that will be enough to maintain a healthy temperature and humidity :ganjamon:

It’s all an experimenting hobby, really. Untill you dial it in and stick with certain methods you’ve learned

Mine do to @Emilya even right now, with my plants you can definitely tell what they are by not looking at them, seeing them, or even knowing their there. Like I said earlier don’t get me wrong, they do have an aroma (to a good healthy plant) but nothing to when their in flower. All I’m saying is that if he’s itching to get them in the tent and doesn’t really care about the aromas (i.e. in a house, not a condo or anything joined) then it’s always an option.

Nice to see more of us Canadians on board here. We are fortunate to have very decent water here in Surrey. Guess that one billion dollar filtration plant does it's job well. That said I have been using Nestle pure life till I found out 7.3 was the pH. Then I switched over to green jugs from Costco. I probably should use tap water but don't want to wreck what's growing in my garden. I also built my own lights. More bang for the buck.

You guys all rock, much appreciated. Will keep posting my random ramblings and progress if anything changes.

@Edzzed yeah I brought mine down and should probably use bottled water but they seem fine and I’m beyond happy with it. Also the build your light thing is 100 percent true. I can’t believe how these perform and they’re under powered and only half the lights I have. For flower things should be interesting.

Thanks, EH!

Both my strains had purple stems through the grow. Cleared up in flower. I was pounding them with the quantum boards. Some of them had purple lines up them. The fan leaf stems turned purple. All in all they were healthy.

I also stopped using my carbon filter in veg. I for one like the smell anyway but I’m also curing in a box in the house. I can’t even smell it anymore I got used to it. But other people can really smell it. Lol.

They don’t “actually” start smelling untill a couple weeks into flower

Oh man do my veggers smell like weed, way more than my flowers! Even if I just do a little tucking they pepe le pew off at me, omg when I bend or or break something...like a weed factory in there. My wife isn't super thrilled, I really gotta get my vent going!

I was extracting the air out and under our sundeck during veg, My wife was complaining and said the neighbors will also complain. said wait till we get into flower. You think it's bad now, That's nothing. I added more black ducting and it now goes to the roof. Hopefully the wind just blows it over their house as we have two floors to their one. Not like the city or RCMP can do anything. Federal government gave us the right to grow in Canada. Just allows me to save money on filters and put that money into lights and 2 Costco cookie sheets. lol

Looking at the breeders photos of chemo c I noticed his plants also have red/colouring of the stems. I’m thinking it’s genetics but I have watered the girls at a ph of 6.0 and raised the direct lights. Time will tell!

Daily update for personal satisfaction, I watered them today with just water ph’d at 6.0.

Today seems they have changed the least from the naked eye point of view. Bushier than before but not taller, I measure every other day.

Started 5 more, in the humidity dome they go. When does everyone else remove from the dome into light? Before I waited about 1-2 weeks then removed them and placed them by my bedroom window for about a week before flooding them with LED’s. Thoughts, suggestions whatever always welcome!

Thanks all, I adjusted my lights and had a humidity problem but it turns out I’m a putz and my balcony door was wide open. Once it was shut the girls were brought back to 65 r/h 23.5C. The stems are knuckling up and my other friends informed me it’s to be able to hold more weight. Tomorrow am before work I’ll wake up and feed them via mist. Here’s a cleaner set up and how they’re looking today!

Been battling humidity recently, but got it under control. The girls were mist fed nutes this morning before I left for work. I found a concerning hole and plan to use neem oil or dawn dish soap for pest prevention.

I got a job for the Canadian government as a cannabis consultant. So now I’ll uproot and move 13 hours way to chase dreams and give up money. Going to interesting, but what’s a reward without struggle. It more or less discomforts me because they want me there in a month and I’ll oblige but my little ladies either need to be put into flower like tomorrow or I’ll gift them to a close friend and start anew. Frustrating but part of life, just when I thought I got the hang of everything.

Since I have to give away my
Girls anyways, I’ll took this time to readjust my lights once again. They’re now 18 inches above the plants where before they were closer to 50. I raised my fan so it blows directly on the light boards and the plants. I will start training them today or tomorrow.
