First Indoor Soil Grow With 300W LED

Your girls look amazing. I was wondering what pontailing does and how to use it effectively I've got some clones from flowering to try "monster cropping" i think it's called. Did a little googling and didn't find a clear explanation. A brief explanation or a link would be appreciated. Thanks keep up the great work can't wait to see how they turn out

Not sure what you want a discribtion you need is monster cropping, is grabbing a clone when in flower and revel, i just did it with 2 or 3 of my clones, Bc they were in flower they get CRAZY unsymmetrical growth, but get GREAT growth, mine exploded with growth

Thank you, the theory behind it is when you ponytail the leaves the light will be able to get to the inner growth of the plant. This method helps for bushier plants. It's just another form of LST, used on more autoflower strains to get a bushier plant in a shorter time period. Here is another growing that wrote a journal specifically on LST and ponytail training. He may be able to give you more details. This is my first grow and I've just done a lot of research and read a lot of people journals to try techniques other growers are using.

Hope this helps.....

A-Train's Autoflower Test Run - Ponytailing & Low Stress Training

Day 24: today we start some LSTing. You can see the pipe cleaners on both plants trying to start training them to make an even canopy. This is my first time so I'm not very educated, but I think BB1 looks pretty even canopy already. But some training can't hurt to help her a little more. Each plant got there 1/2 gallon of week 4 feed. They used that 1/2 gallon up pretty easy, so next feed I may be making a second batch to give them over a 1/2 gallon.

Technically I can start flowering BB1 in 4 days, but I'm going to wait until at least next Monday. We'll see how BB2 looks and that will tell me when they are ready. Getting exciting now!!! .

Those are crappy pictures. Tomorrow I'll update with some photos when lights are out. That's when you see the real beauty!!

Day 26: I moved the pipe cleaners around a little bit to even out all the potential colas. Today I took them out of the tent to get a better picture. BB2 has grown so much in the last couple days. She's starting to catch up to her older sister.

Hey bignugs, I was looking over your pictures. Do you always prune your plants that much or is it because it's a clone? Also when do you start pruning and what are the benefits. I'm debating whether to do it a little to my plants or not. There's so many huge leaves, I'm having to tuck them in because there blocking light.

Day 27: they both received a 1/2 gallon of week 4 feed. I've come to the conclusion BB1 needs to be fed sooner then BB2. She is drinking more and gets droopy on day 3. I may move them to bring water every other day. We'll see how they are in 2 days. I adjusted and added more restraints to BB2. BB1 was a little to droopy to do anything with so I may adjust her tomorrow, as long as she's recovered. I also took a group shot so you can see the difference in size. BB2 is filling out nicely and not letting her older sister outshine her.

Day 28: Today is officially 4 weeks for BB1. But like I said before we're going to wait an extra 3-4 days for BB2 to catch up. BB1 has recovered nicely from her dry slumpy day yesterday. I readjusted the restraints on both and added a couple to BB1. But there looking so even and flat up top.

Not to sound corny or anything, but......I'm getting so excited!!!

Below I took a group shot and we'll check to see if I will water them tomorrow or not. Then we'll reevaluate! Everyone have a Good Friday night!

Day 30: watered another 1/2 gallon of week 4 feed and adjusted the restraints. I'll do one more watering of week 4 feed on Tuesday.

Day 32-1 : Today they received there first Bloom feed. There normal 1/2, which I bumped up to every other day since they were getting dry. I also tightened up some restraints. Trying to make them bush out as much as possible. Because I don't have much room in height with the filter. I also changed the light to12/12. So today is day 1 of flowering. Woohoo....the fun has begun! Below I put 2 pictures of each plant, to see a top and frontal view.

Day 34-3: Today is day 3 of flowering. The ladies deceived there 1/2 gallon each of week 1 strength bloom feed. They are both starting to fatten up. All the lower colas are now pointing up towards the light and there starting to bush up the center of the plant, and that's what I want!!
I took all the pictures from an above view so you can see then centers.

Day 37-6: So I was supposed to water them last night before bed and completely forgot. So I watered this morning and boy did the 12 put a Hutton on BB1. She was really droopy and dry. I decided to feed her over a 1/2 gallon and BB2 still get a 1/2 gallon.
I also raised the light, I am now at the that point where it won't go any higher until it is turned, but they will not be getting equal light. I guess It's that time to get another light. My husbands been telling me to anyways. I've just be procrastinating. I will probably purchase the second 300w led tomorrow. Which means it will be here Wednesday!!
I posted some picks of them under the light, sometimes it's nice seeing how they react to the lights. Besides my minor set back of me accidentally starving BB1 yesterday, the ladies are looking good to me!!

**Tomorrow is the 1 week mark since the flip!**

Day 38-7: today is officially a week. Since the flip. BB1 is so much fuller then BB2. I think it's from all the extra tucking and training. I've been trying to form her top into a rectangle so they each have there own side of the tent and not running into each other. BB2 is going to be taller. She kind of runs a little wild and is harder to train. You can see in the group picture below the size difference.
Tomorrow they will receive there next feed.

I have a question, does anyone have any advice or recommendations on pruning? Should I prune them some, so they get better light?
If so how do I prune?
Or just leave them to grow?
