First Journal: Do-Si-Dos Nutes Comparison

Hey everybody I'm new here and welcome to my first journal! Very excited about it! Been behind the scene watching lots of grows here and learning a lot.

I've started growing last year after the legalization in Canada and this is my 4th grow since last year and I've came a long way compared to my first grow but still lots to learn and plan to improve as much as I can! For this grow I'm focusing on comparing the FF nutes to MC to decide which way I would be growing for the near future, in this grow I've cloned two do-si-dos from Canuk seeds to do the comparison.

Here's a bit about what's going on,

What strain is it? Do-si-dos from Canuk Seeds
Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? What percentages? Mostly indica
Is it in Veg or Flower stage? Veg
If in Veg... For how long? 17 days
Indoor or outdoor? Indoor
If indoor...Dimensions (L x W x D) of grow space? 38x38x6 for Veg and 48x48x7 for flower
Soil or Hydro? Soil
If soil... what is in your mix? 40/40/20 of happy frog, ocean forest, and foxfarm orginal potting mix with about 10% EWC and 20% perlite
If soil... What size pot? Solo cups - 2Gal fabric pot and final 7 gal fabric pot
Size of light? For Veg Mars hydro 300W and 1000w led total pull 250w will replace both with TS1000 when my sp-250 comes in for flowering tent which also has a HLG 240W QB
Is it aircooled? No
Temp of Room/cab? 23°C-25°C with lights on 19°C-20°C with lights off
RH of Room/cab? 50%-55% lights on 55%-65% lights off
PH of media or res? N/A
Any Pests ? Nope
How often are you watering? 2 days at 100ML right now
Type and strength of ferts used? They've been fed only water right now but when I start nutes I will be using, Foxfarm trio, boomerang, kangaroots, kelp me kelp you, wholly mackerel,microbrew, bembe, beastie boomz, and Cha ching and calmag from botamicare and armor si for do-si-dos #1 and for do-si-dos #2 I will be using MC with calmag and armor si.

Here are some pictures of the girls at day 17 they have been topped and I will be quadlining them. They will be going into 2gal fabric pot in the end of the week when theres more space in the tent for 3 weeks then 2-3 weeks in 7gal fabric pot then flip so that's the plan a least

I think I covered everything but if I didn't please let me know and I'll try to get it in!

So the plants have been drinking 100ML every day and a half so I decided to up the feed to 200ML. Not much has changed the girls are doing their thing planning to uppot to 2Gal most likely Saturday. So here's the girls today.

Not much has changed the tops has been pushed down so the bottom nods will have a chance to catch up to the first two. Going to transplant Monday morning when the lights come on.

Day 24: temp 25°C RH 57%
Today was transplant day for these gals! They're going into 2Gal fabric pots for most likely 3 weeks then transplant into 7Gal for 2-3 weeks then flip. So far these gals have been exceeding growth of all my clones even the ones that were 1-2 weeks ahead! I'm really amazed at the growth of them can't wait to see how they produce! For the transplant the soil mix is the same and I had placed a cub in the pot to fit the space for transfer and put promix root powder and mycorrhiza in the whole before transplanting.

Going to train the girls in a couple of days and pull down the branchs once they get settled in the pots a bit. They're really coming along can't wait to see how them fill in once they get settled in.

Day 26: temp 26°C RH 50
So the girls didn't skip a beat with the transplant and after 2 days I decided to do some training I've pulled the two main branches down (splitting do-si-dos #1) and slightly lowered the bottom branches. Today my sp-250 came in and moved that to the flower tent and moved the TS1000 to the veg tent, I'm sure the girls would love the light. As far as watering goes the plants still holding moister so I'll most likely water in 3 days.

They will veg in the 2 gals for 3 weeks and then moved into 7 Gals for 2-3 weeks then flower. They should get into a decent size, the mother is growing like crazy and still 1 more week of stretch.

It's getting hotter in here but the plants should be fine I have a exhale bag in here so that should help a bit other then that the girls are coming along, first feed since transplant I think that it's been a week so here we go

Day 36: temp 26°C 63% RH
Today's been a long day for me.... Only thing that got me distracted today was tending to the gardens needs and that was a mess today as well so here we go, it's been 5 days since last feed the plants are ready for the feed , while the do-si-dos #1 burn seems to be spreading slowly so tonight she has been flushed and fed 50% nutes. So do-si-dos #2 being fed with mc is getting noticeably different in size she's stretching s lot more then her sister but that might be because she had her branch ripped so she had to heal and the nute burn might've slowed her down too.

She's been doing the best out of the two so far but still a long way to go so only time will tell. Also upped her feed by .5g

Day 38 : temp 24°C RH 55%
Small update, the girls are stretching quite a bit and the tent is getting kinda out of hands but am going to give a few clones out to a couple of friends and just waiting to harvest my next 2 flowering plants then move the 2 7gals in veg into flower and that'll clear up some space but these girls are going to be huge! Planning on potting them next week giving them 3 weeks in the 2Gal pots then going into 7Gal pots for another 2-3 weeks then flip they should be bigger then the mother by the pace they're going now! But in the end of the day it's all going to be down to the smoke for me if one provides better smoke but smaller yeild I'm fine with that, guess only time will tell right?

On a funny note one of my girls white widow fem from Canuk seeds turn out to be a auto and started flowering now big surprise to me when I saw, guess she'll stay in her little 2Gal and see how she goes guess I'm going to have to put an extra carbon filter on now once she's starting to stink

Noticeable stretch in 2 days a couple of inches and no more burning so she's just going to grow now and hopefully not encounter anymore problems with her but she is definitely smaller because of the burn and the split on the stem. Definitely pushed her back a few days

These girls are out of control! She's grown a few inches in 2 days! At this rate she'll be covering the whole tent! She has not skip a beat and taking everything I'm giving her.

Day 41: tempt 25°C RH 55%
So the girls are doing quite well right now, putting on some nice height but do-si-dos #2 has stretched a lot more while #1 has stretched less but has put on more nods. They are ending of second week of the 2Gal and drinking faster each week but they're going to their final 7Gal pot on Monday when the lights come on and will flip 2-3 weeks. Once transplanted they will be pulled down and super cropped to keep an even canopy then grown upwards before flipping.

Day 47 - temp 24°C RH 55%
So the girls have grown vigorously the last few days and getting out of control so after transplanted I super cropped and tied some branches down to even out the canopy more so with do-si-dos #1 then #2. I went a bit more aggressive with the training right after transplant is because I've growing her now and she can handle everything I give to her and also to stress her out to keep her lower a bit.
They will be veg out for 2 weeks more likely due to hight and need to clear up space in flower then.

Day 50: Temp 24°C RH 60%
So the girls did not skip a beat from the training and transplant she was all pointing up within a few hours. Now she will have to 2 weeks to fill in the pot and grow before flipping she's going to be a monster by that time! Going to be interesting to see the difference between the two nutes and how they produce but after this run I'm going to start using super soil have a few guys starting in 1gals right now.
So let's get started then today they have been readjusted for height and trimmed to open space for more light.

Day 59 - temp 24 RH 60%
Over the last week the girls have had explosive growth, they've been drinking 1Gal every 5 days so they're on the right track! Today I've up the feed to 100% for FF to get them ready for the flip in a few days. So far the girls are loving life no burns or any issue so far! The nods are quite right so k expect some big nugs! Do-si-dos #1 with the split stem has a much bigger stalk then #2 but the growth of both seems to be pretty much the same as of now.

Day 51 Flower, Day 113 of grow

Sorry for the lack of updates as life returns and the world resumes again, things have been very busy but now that things are getting back to normalish I've been finally able to have time to write an update. So the girls are now into their final weeks of flowering and have done great so far. A picture says a thousand words so I'm going to let them speak for themselves.
