Compost Tea Time

Bit bored this afternoon, so decided to brew a batch of compost tea for use this weekend. Mine's pretty simple:

10 gal water treated to remove chloramine, about 75-80F

150 ml Aquashield

2 scoops ZHO powder

1 sock fulla' worm castings

250g sugar

Adjust ph of water, brew, and serve to soilless plants in flower & mother plants. Also a couple of gallons for the neighbor.

Trim the Fan Leaves?

Nope. Not me. Doesn't make sense; fan leaves provide much more energy to the plant; they're not "suckers" that require removal.

Flower, Day 19

We be rockin' man! :tommy:

Hittin' ALL my marks in terms of nutes, light, air, and temps. Grow room performing better than I could have imagined during design phase.

Ten gallons of compost tea fed only about 20 of 32 plants.

Made up another 10 gallon bath for use 12-3-12 p.m. after work.

Note to self: be certain large nute tank is available next go-round so we's can brew up 20 gallons of compost tea.

How did this grow turn out?

We would love to be updated with some pictures and info!

How about posting a 420 Strain Review?

If you need any help with posting photos, please read the photo gallery tutorial:

I am moving this to Abandoned Journals until we get updates.

Thanks and hope all is well in your world.

Love and respect from all of us here at 420 Magazine.

Sorry for not keeping things current.

The first grow was an utter disaster. Small, stringy bud, no density, and leggy plants.

Mistake #1: crowding too many plants into too small a space.

Mistake #2: using Micro Coat pot coating. The coating stunted the root growth, interfered w/ nutrient uptake, and basically stunted the overall growth of the plants.

Super discouraging after the successes I enjoyed w/ cloning & the beginnings of the vegetative phase.

Unsure if I want to continue growing after that major meltdown. Hundreds of dollars and untold hours spent on grow room design & build. Hundreds of dollars and countless hours spent on the grow, only to have it tank.

All that time researching and attempting to do things correctly, and nothing. The shit I grew couldn't get a flea high.
