This coming spring I'm going to start my first outdoor 12 plant grow. I'm going to do autos on my back deck in 5 gal smart pots, what should I be aware of with outdoor growing? I've never grown to finish outdoors, only a couple months...are bugs going to be a problem? I have a lot deer and some bears where I live but I'll have my fence finished by spring hopefully. If I don't have it finished what can I do to keep away wild life? I live in a rural area and deer are like rats over here, I see them almost daily looking out the window or walking in my yard. I also have a TON of chipmunk and squirrels with the occasional bear. With the smart pot sitting on the wood of my deck I'm sure they will be exposed to bugs but will it likely be a big issue? I don't have ants or any other bugs indoors but what should I expect outdoors? What sativa doms grow best outdoors? I was thinking Durban poison and Maui wowie. They grew well indoors for me in the past.
