First Time Grow 2018

Totally new to 420 I started smoking this past summer, now I'm growing my own bud.
So I jumped in zero research, I ordered from cropkingseeds.com 5 seeds of feminized crown royal. Side note... at the time I had no idea of feminized, regular or auto flower. I just ordered what had cool sounding name lol.
So... only I'm only starting out with 2 seeds. I'm growing in Fox Farm ocean forrest soil with pearlite mixed in. I started with (1) 150 wat light bulb and have since moved up to (2) lights now, 1 for each girl.
Let's move on to some pictures and dates.
I placed my order on 9/26/2018

So my seeds arrived 3 days later on 9/28/2018. The way they came had my wife and I busting up!

That stuff will help a lot. Growing media is going to be your next concern. Do you have a pH pen? What nutrients are you going to use? You will have to transplant them eventually.

I see we posted at the same time

Hey Dusted welcome to my journal. I haven't gotten a ph pen, note sure on which to get. Suggestions? And I'm going to be using fox farm nutrients, I was told to wait 30 days or unless it looks like they need it.

So the girls were bend left and right, I had 1 light in the middle of the girls. Orlando Scout suggested a second light. Which did the trick. Sunday the 14 I added the second light and the fallowing I ph'd the water.

You are going to need more light real soon or they will get too spindly. You are using a timer on the lights, right. Otherwise you seem to have thing under control. What containers are you going to transplant to? You don’t have enough soil for a full grown plant

Tell me what size containers do I need?and when should I start using the light/ballast and what distance from plants should I set the light? Thanks in advance

You will need the ventilation system up before the light can be turned on. It looks like a hps lamp and it will produce huge amounts of heat. The light should be as high as possible from the plants to start and at 50% ballast setting to prevent burning them.

Pot size, you are good until the roots start coming out the bottom. Then i’m not sure. I’m a hydroponic guy so will admit my ignorance when it comes to soil. There may be a sticky thread in the organic section of the growers forum section on that.

I have a 12'X15' metal shed I'm planning on using for the girls. What temp should I be shooting for inside? And should there be humidity in there as well? I'm going to be looking for an inexpensive ac unit. And should I have fans inside to circulate the air?

Daytime temps of 25-30C. Night 18-20C. The plants will eventually fill the shed with humidity due to transpiration. Air circulation is super important. I have a fan that moves all of the leaves in my grow room 24 hr a day. Unless you live in a really hot climate, just having fans in the room circulating and an external air intake source should be enough without ac. Keep out insects, but good luck with that.

Where do you source your water? If you have access to a water analysis you will want to look at the hardness and pH of your raw water in order to properly treat it.

There are so many ways to kill an almost indestructible plant you will be amazed
