First Time Grow, 2x4 Tent Six Bulb T5ho White Widow & Early Miss Organic Grow

Hey there fellow growers,
I’ve been sitting silent, in the shadows, reading endless journals on here and absolutely love the amazing help everybody gets and I’m hoping for the same!
Incredible community here btw, also, I’ve never in my life posted anything at all so please feel free to guide me.

So first time grower, for Cannabis that is, I grow a lot of veggies in our garden and have been landscaping for about 20yrs but this is a whole new ball game

Again help me if I’m missing something:

One white widow auto fem - crop king seeds
One early miss auto fem - crop king seeds
2x4x7(high)gorilla grow tent
Hydro farm agrobrite 2x4 six bulb t5ho 6500k bulbs(four running now, 2700k bulbs later for flower)
Running 18/6 lights
Blue sky organic soil
4inch Vivosun fan w/carbon filter
Passive air from bottom
6 inch hurricane fan
Small humidifier & dehumidifier.
Ink bird temp/rh monitors
Green planet medi-one nutes
Green planet ph up/down


Missing anything??
It’s is my garage, used to be a bedroom so well insulated it’s not vented into the world yet, I seem to have handle on temp/rh so far.

So I’m starting this journal a week behind , very apprehensive after my first few failed germ attempts, but not we’re rolling into node Number two soon so I’m excited now!
And I have pics since beginning

Also not sure how or if I need to move this to journals..... ??

Anyhow, I’m running roughly 25-26 temp, only drops roughly to 23 during lights out rn, like I said well insulated but I should b able to fix the night temps by venting, which we may move where set up is to do so if needed, also I’ll b off soon to handle the temps, having a kid in a month! So can deal with temps cause ‘lights out’ is 9am-3pm, rh is set at 62%. Up and down steady with setting on monitor so like 59-64 sort of thing.

so started germ on I think sept 8, went into soil-jiffy pucks - sept 13th under one 18inch t5ho sun blaster , let them pop up under these, put humidity dome over them because I had a few misfires so been extra careful.... live and learn, then graduated to tent, didn’t have proper hight lid when o moved them into solo cup, so jimmied it with wood and Saran Wrap lol
But got lid the next day but then realized don’t even need it as they’ve grown to almost the second node and don’t need a lid

I will Be topping these and lst as well, like I said I’ve done a lot! Of research into this so hoping it pays off, & would appreciate the help along this journey

So also I’m trying this minimalist style, with the blue sky organics they said it has enough nutes, bs, so I’m going simple and using a green planet medi one, I can use from the begging to end allegedly, so I guess that makes this an organic grow..... finger crossed!!

So for counting days is it since began germ or from spout ??

So after playing around with the light a bit cause was warm in the evening last night, I checked this morn and it got to 27....... then 27.4 Was the hottest it got then light out..... dropped to 23 during that, then the wife had an idea , pull a bulb out, so I have and fingers crossed between that and the fan up a bit hopefully I have it standing at 25.5,
Anyways still perfecting it but getting close, now running 3/6 bulbs so lots of light to come when needed!
Sitting about 4.5inches from the light

No water today, early miss is drying up but widow still wet..... will wait then ph water for their next sip , no nutes yet too small

Any reason to b worried the widow has like streaky leaves??

only the first round of leaves so not really conceded , thinking nature ,Miss looks great, widow has the clip, for rh monster sitting 62%, high 68-69, need to sort that out,humid here though , rains are back.....

Time to eat and soak in the tub..... busy day

Hope all is doing well today, looks like (so far anyways) I got temp/rh out holding steady with lights on at 25.5 and 62%

Lights out Probly a little diff, higher humid but nothing over 69% & temp pretty much stays the same maybe 1or2 degree diff.

Am I going to run into big Problems if I can’t swing the temps 5ish degrees cooler during lights out??

Weekends I can make them drop weekdays I’m working on, also working on proper venting...... a work in progress !

I’ll Snap a few photos tonight, early miss is thriving and widows doing alright, second nodes are showing! So exciting watching them grow
I’ve been told this will teach me patience, so far seems true...... a good thing
Looking forward to topping but I didn’t realize how small they’re gonna b when they go for surgery! lol

Plants are still small,
On the second node, in a solo cup

Do I soak through till 20% run off while watering or do I just give a little ??

They’re quite small figure should check

Think early miss needs fluids today widows maybe tomorrow.....


Also I should be using proper ph water now right???

You appear to be growing in soil. Check out Emilya's current journal, and her paper "The Proper Way to Water a Potted Plant".

I'd answer, but I grow in coco/perlite. They are very different.

I’ve have actually followed Emilya helping lots of growers, while lurking in the shadows. And truly a big reason why i joined up, so lucky to be part of this terrific crowd!

Widow is first looks odd right? Has his helmet stuck on coming up, needed to plant a little deeper, that’s what I’m guessing did it, spouting out of it now I think

Early miss looks good, was worried of a little spotting so adjusted fan but think just the lights

Popped in anothe tube, 4 4ft bulbs now two slots left, weather Has totally changed today so now my heater has come into affect
The auto inkbird thermostat is getting a work out now

Time to commence reading up on watering

So I’ve read Emilia’s paper on water....... about six times now, think I got it, and I’m due to water the early miss......
A little nervous I must admit!

Widow is still a little damp so I will let dry right out as per epic paper

First time to ph water as well,
For growing anyways, I ph 1400L hot tub steady! So hope that helps!!

Rh dropped for a few hours today, shouldnt matter should it??

Same with the temp, keeping within a degree or two floating all day won’t do it much harm will it?? Up down up down..... ?

Also not cooling everyday during lights out..... I know this is a bit of an issue,
But is it a major issue???
Probly able to hit proper lights out temp 4days a week ......

Think these are first grow jitters , and now I can see why so many folks use nutes so early!! I’m tempted but won’t....

Also autos: when to use nutes??

For small volumes of water I use a 10% solution of pH up or pH down in dripper bottles such as those e-juice come in. It makes pH easy to adjust without going past the desired reading.

Cannabis is a very forgiving plant. Yes, under ideal conditions it grows better than outside them.

Your plants are young, and should grow well despite the environment being a little outside the ideal. The time when you need to pay closest attention is during the last half if flower. High humidity will generally cause more harm than high temperatures to your buds. Keep that down during the last half of flower and you should get a good harvest.

Great harvests come with experience.

I buy the full strength pH up and down solutions, and dilute it for gallon and smaller batches of water/nutrients. I have both the full strength and diluted solutions in the dropper bottles.

FYI there are about 100 drops in a teaspoon. It usually takes about 3-4 drops of the 10% solution to bring a quart to where it needs to be. Five gallons takes 5-15 drops of the full strength solution de[ending on the nutrients. pH swings will damage you plants, as will pH out of the range where the plants can use the nutrients.

Maybe a stupid question, but do you just dilute with dechlorinated tap water or bottle??
1tbsp ph 9tbsp h2o......??

Actually have a home for all my grow gear now so exciting to fill up the cupboard!
