Hey y'all! I have been lurking around on here for quite some time now, and have finally decided to go ahead and attempt to grow me a plant! Super excited for the journey!
I plan on growing one auto flowering Durbon Poison in a 5 gallon Smart Pot. I will use a combination of Fox Farm Ocean Forrest soil and Espoma Perlite. I plan on lining the walls of the closet with Mylar. And as for lighting I am going to use the Mastergrow 600 Watt LED grow light. No fancy exhaust system. I figure as it is an auto flower, I can be more leniant with lighting and just leave the closet door open at times to get fresh air in. As for odor I will be relying on the Roseman's DIY Odor Control Bucket method.
Before I start I need help figuring out a minor issue with the closet. It is 27 inches wide, 33 inches deep and 69 inches from the floor to the bottom of the shelf.
I plan on hanging my light from the lower bar, which will put it relatively centered. My main concern is with the space above the shelf. I assume that a space like that will just suck up light, preventing me from getting everything I can out of the light and to my plant. Do others think this will be a problem? And if so how should I solve it?
Thanks for the help, will show you the final set up once everything arrives in the mail! I/m excited to begin my journey, and look forward to any guidance y'all have for a new grower!
