I’m a little confused, have you switched the light to 12-12 to induce flowering? If it’s a photoperiod it won’t flower until you’ve switched the light schedule

hey there. Yeah I started off on 18/6 light cycle, when it was entering flowering stage i gave it 24 hours of darkness and then introduced the 12/12 light cycle. This is my first grow But I feel it’s going well thanks to the information and guidance on this, I had an accident a couple of weeks ago with the plants and thought they were gonna die, if you scroll back you’ll see the accident. Thanks

Right on ma’dude,
I recall the incident now. I remember seeing it as it took place. How long have you been in flower?

I done the 24 hours of darkness three weeks ago and have proper noticed the white pistols the last two week, I’m still trying to get used to all this but I’m presuming it’s starting to bud now since all the white pistols are shooting out?

No problem man, it was either that or let them fry , next time if you do do one again either top em or Lst the shit of of them and make them bushes, it’s all about making a wider canopy to me bro definitely when you have limited space up and around, your space and with using photoperiod plants I would do a screen of green method. Glad to have been some help man. Keep posting pics I’m interested to see these colas

Still can’t believe the way them branches bend back up the way! It’s blown my mind there looking really well, the branches on the bottom of the plant are real skinny and defo not gonna produce much colas. Could I chop those lower skinny branches off to maybe give up rest of the plant more nutes and energy? Cheers again

Sorry bro been away from my phone -
I personally do not like to defoliate or chop off branches but that is when I have already trained the shit out of the plant so there no need in my situation but in yours because you started late it might probably be best - I would if I was in your situation do like a couple of leaves a day and maybe one or two branches - and depending on your light some of the lower branches may still produce a little bit of mediocre bud which I would use for hash or some edible or something -
I like the plants to do there thing without intervening too much try and keep it minimal stress -

All the LST and the defoliating and chopping lower branches in my opinion should be done in veg so the plant can recover before you switch but in your case it’s too late so just be careful mate and take your time and try your best , that’s all you can do

Also mate there looking sweet - well done for sticking with it after the accident and nearly frying em. Even if you got a couple of zs it’s worth it for the learning experience and then next time you can turn that couple into ten

Looking good man definitely saved it with the last - the lower branches mate, I would probably just leave them my self because I don’t like cutting whole stems off but I’ve never been in that situation as I majorly tie down my plants and make bushes (which you should do next time) but if I was in you situation now I would probably take one lower branch every couple of days just to not stress it

on my first grow i topped four times and after the fourth time i startewd perfroming LST trainining.
This allows you to control the growth and it allows you to get a healty bushy plant.
I also cut off any lower branches or leaves that don't get light.

Really starting to take shape now! The smell is so good. This one is banana kush and the one behind it which is not even half as big is gelato. Going good I think

Looking sweet man get some close ups!!!
What’s up mate, seriously can’t thank you enough for telling me to bend those branches down, I thought once the stalks/branches were thick that they would snap if I attempted anything like that! An absolute monster this banana kush is looking like! The gelato plant took a big hit with the accident and is pretty small so I’m mainly giving all my loving to the banana as I said it’s my first time but I think it’s going really well especially after that accident . Really excited for the last few weeks . These are the pics I got of her today .

Peace out - smokeypep
