Slight bit of leaf curling upwards so i think the lights were too close so they have been raised up an inch.
Any tips/ advice welcome :peace:

You may want to raise the humidity and make sure you know the temp directly under the lights at canopy level. Good luck. I was looking at trying that strain, so I hope you have success. The hydroton on top looks dry and so do those leaves. Otherwise they are facing down, not up, so I think its more of a dryness issue. If it were just the heat of the light, your leaves would be reaching upward.

Good job on the dwc.

Thanks cannateer, I have placed two bowls of water and a wet towl around the rim of the bucket to increase humidity to near 70 % and temps are 77f... Checked on how the roots are growing and noticed the start of brown slime or root rot HELP!!!! How is this possible :bitingnails: res temp is @70f which is acceptable..

Thank you kola320 I will get ordering some h202 ASAP so I will have it for the next res change and start treating her at that rate.
Thanks Lyra, it is a good system apart from the submersible pump which I was abit dissapointed with ( was expecting more bubbles for a 180ltr/hr pump) might try pick up an external pump and air stones.. I don't think it was Rot as I sprayed the roots with a 5.5 plain water and it slid off kinda lol... I will have a read of that link, still so much to learn :thankyou:

It's the start of rot, and I just use 3% peroxide easier than the industrial stuff, If you do the dunk while you clean and change water i use like a gallon of water and about 60 mm of peroxide and swish it around and watch the roots fizzle as it kills all the crap on them I did this for 3 weeks and brought my girls back with a vengeance, new roots will start growing like crazy after a couple of dips.

The only h202 I can get my hands on in the next few days is 17.5% is that too strong? I'm glad I lifted the pot to look at roots and caught it in the early stage as some of the pics found on the internet of root rot are crazzzy rotten.. :)

Update :- Got my hands on some h202 and mixed 5ml - ltr water and let roots soak.

Lots of root growth this last week.

I decided to add 1ml h202 to res per week
P.H - 5.5
Sensi part A 15ml
Part B 15ml
Ppm - 400
Water temp 70f

Looking good now each week give it a peroxide bath and watch each time as it starts newer roots nice healthy white, I think I did mine for 4 weeks and took 2 off but now I'll do it one more time for the last few weeks. Peroxide has saved my girls more than once. :thumb:

Thanks man, the roots were looking a lot better after the soak so hopefully things should pick up, I will keep doing it every week till it's gone, I think my ario2 submersible pump is abit on the weak side I might have to get an external pump and air stones for more bubbles

Ya I just went up to the hydro farm pump 70 L per min and I run a 4 bucket system right now gonna expand it to 6 next grow. Peroxide is nice unless your doing organic. you can always look into a compost tea too that uses beneficial bacteria to keep rot at bay but I like peroxide I think it actually helps get the plants bushy. All 4 of these were about dead before I started the dunk

Nice looking plants!!
What strain are they?
Yeah the peroxide is good stuff and has many uses, I think my slightly hi res temp and using tap water has caused the start of the problems. I wish I had more space for another plant but the ds 60 can only fit in one bucket and will have to keep things low.

If you can get us another picture or 2 as it goes along.

I'm not happy with the way my roots were looking..and would like to see others and how they started and how they recover, if you get time etc.

Yep no problem GroundControl I will take a pic each week with the update :)

This is how they look now After they had a soak for an hr, no slime on them and Looking better.

I have 3 different strains going 1 Strawberry Blue , 1 Pineapple Chunk , And 2 Chernobyl. Ya that's why I went with a 1000 watt system and run a LED on the side for extra lighting. But my 1000 will cover around a 5x5 footprint and I grow my plants taller and take clones from the bottom while there in flower.
