First Time Hydro!

From the leaf color it seems that the lovely Tammy is a little nitrogen deficient. What do ya'll think? Other than that she and the babies are looking very healthy, great job!!

I agree.

but then again it'd be a little weird since he said he remedied it :hmmmm:

runamok, could list the nutes and how much youre giving her? jsut so we can try to figure out why her leaves are so hungry? :cheesygrinsmiley: but other than that the ph issue is deffinately resolved as she is looking VERY perky!

I'd LOVE some insight into that problem.
I am using the General Hydroponics FLORA SERIES and I use the calculator seen HERE

The last rez change (2 days ago ), I combined the nutes using the recipe for BLOOM
that General Hydroponics suggested by using the calculator.
I set the calc for Reservoir Size = 1 gallon & Product Needed Per Reservoir Change in - Mill
The reservoir holds about 1.5 gallons
I added 5 ml of the FLORA MICRO today as it is the one with the highest Nitrogen content, to see what happens.
Please...if anyone gets the chance, Look at the links and tell me what you think.

I JUST ordered and received the 1 quart set (1 quart of each) of the
Flora series so I pretty much need to use it to finish this grow.
Perhaps I'll change nutes when I start the babies on their journey
but I'd like to continue using the Flora series as the calc is online and it's very easy for me to mix.

As always, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Peace :roorrip:

I wish I could help you but hydo is outta my league atm.. I am thinking about throwing a few hydro buckets in the mix ( next year) so I am going to be hitting you up for advice.... So absorb all that knowledge and use a "jedi mind trick" and transfer it to me..... WAKE and BAKE... Good luck Run, hope someone helps you out here soon...:roorrip::peace:

hmm..squeezed tomato juice. might effect the ph but it will deff bringthe N up..:\

Well...I'm lost here.

29 days 12/12 - 24 days since 1st flower

I swear i think it's the plant itself. I have struggled with 3 generations
of clones on this plant and gotten nothing but trouble in all 3 scenarios.
Every other plant I have started has been healthy , green and happy.
I am changing the nutes back to veg nutes as soon as the water sits
and see what it does and if it doesn't help, I'm chopping the bitch and
starting new with the 3 babies I have. All in all, it's been weird, so I'm
at my wits end. I dunno...maybe I should not have started with a clone
I knew was a herm in the first place , but it seemed to be doing so well
there for a while. I have my water sitting out for the rez change,
just gotta let it sit for a day before using it.

I'm a bit bummed....

Peace :roorrip:

OK..
Changed the Rez Solution on Tammy back to when she was doing better.
Hoping she pulls thru... dunno what else to try
Transplanted the babies into their own DWC buckets and
added rez solution for vegging. Here are pics.

Guess now it's a waiting game to see how everyone does.
Wish me Luck.

Should I take off the yellowing leaves ? Please lemme know...

As always, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Peace :roorrip:

Tammy looks like shes hangin in there! I wouldnt pull any leaves unless they are dead and crispy...
Shes lookin good for 30 days 12/12. Hang in there man your almost there...

Do you have meters? What PH are you running? What PPM/EC?

I have a PH kit, PH is staying around 6.0

I don't have PPM/EC meters atm, I just can't spare the cash for those right now.
I have been using the General Hydroponics Calculator that is online to measure nutes
and have been VERY careful with my measurements I do have an accurate diabetic
syringe for measuring Mils so I can mix per gallon for the solution.

Tammy is still asleep atm so I can't see what changes have happened since the rez
change yesterday. I'll let ya know when she wakes.

As always, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Peace :roorrip:

Welp, She doesn't look WORSE since the rez change, if that means anything.
We'll see in the next few days if she heals....

The babies are fine. Just started LST on the largest one.

Will post more later...

Peace :roorrip:

Just a few pics as an update. Tammy, altho still looking sickly,
is looking no WORSE. I suppose that's good...the rez change
seemed to help. Her buds are still growing... so we'll see.
The babies are doing well, got a small amout of nute burn, but
I've diluted the mix with distilled water and they are looking good today.
The LST started on the biggest one is looking good also.

I have a question...
Can I sex these under 12/12 soon and then put them back into 24/24
to veg when I see a female ? I wanna try to get a mom.

As always, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

if tammy is making seeds somewhere that ywellowing could be normal what are your temps both day and night

is your water hard hard water can give you weird nute lockups

i did a nute change and feed on a passive hydro basil last year with similar look and it perkedup and colored up nice the
nutes were compost tea and aged urine about 3 ct 1 urine and 10 water used that for 4-5 daysd and dumped and went back to
water with occasional weak nutes i still have that basil just brought it into the greenhouse its in dirt now though

from seeing your pics i'd guess that your flower formula is having balance and lockup problems perhaps you could use veg formula every second or third rez change to even things out
until you have a meter

i suspect you could have both temp and PPM not quite dialed in
too warm a night temp could be skewing things up

when i was cloning thousands of poinsetta in the greenhouse that was an issue before feeding because we were feeding lightly

zolar..

There very well MAY be some seeds in there, I dunno.
The plant showed some male flowers early on in this journal
and I picked them and I have seen none since.
The plant is so dense in the middle i can't dig around much to look for more.

The temp stays a steady 78-80 degrees day and night,
so I don't think that's a problem.

This plant has pretty much lived in distilled water + nutes
PH got weird a while back because i was reading it under HPS
but I'm sure i have it sorted and keep it as close to 6.0 as I can
and I check it every morning when she wakes and again at night before she sleeps.

I change rez solution every 10 - 14 days , topping off daily with
distilled water and re-checking PH when I do so.

I dunno what else I can do :| The babies (treated the same way)
are doing fine.

As always, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Peace :roorrip:

Good Morning all...

Well...right , wrong or otherwise, yesterday I decided to remove all the dead
and really dying leaves on Tammy. I know the plants need their leaves, but I
couldn't see how dead or dying leaves could possibly help. As I was removing,
I also took 2 smaller branches to try...couldn't resist.

I started LST on the middle baby yesterday also.
All 3 babies are looking good.

I'll post pics when Tammy wakes up... Can't open the cabinet when she's asleep.

As always, any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Peace :roorrip:
