First Time With Bags, Need Help

I'm gonna run 2 Bruce Bangers(free from Seedsman) in my first bag grow and have a couple of questions. One, do the bags have to be on grates to permit air to flow under? I usually run 7-10 gallon pots and will have 7 gallon bags. Good enough? Any tips. Sunshine #4 media with GH DUO nutes. Should I run the Sunshine high aggregate mix instead?

It does help the bags do what they do if you get them elevated. I use river rocks here to do that in a normal drip tray, but grates work too. Its not critical to do this, but it does help. No experience in your soils, i will let others advise on that. My best tip in a bag grow is to learn to water even slower. Start with very small amounts to start soaking into the soil or you will be frustrated how much water drips out of the sides of the bags. Go slow, and all the water will go downwards instead of sideways.
