A senate lawmaker has introduced a bill to make medical marijuana legal, but would limit tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) levels. One mother says it's not enough to help those who are ill. "I don't think there should be a cap because someone that has cancer definitely needs a higher THC," says Renee Petra. Her 12-year-old son was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy. "He had his first seizure and it went into seizure after seizure after seizure," she says. Sick of loading her son, Branden, up with medicines with severe side effects, Renee Petra is on a crusade to legalize marijuana, which she believes would alleviate his suffering. "This is about compassion. It's about pure compassion," says Petra.

State Senator Jeff Brandes is sponsoring a bill that would legalize medical marijuana with a THC level of .5 percent or less. Representative Greg Steube supports a similar measure in the House. "We're not talking about a smokeable form of marijuana. We're talking about a type of medicine that is derived from those compounds that's in a pill form that really helps," says Rep. Steube. But Petra says politicians should not restrict the potency of pot and she is crossing her fingers that a ballot measure in November will get enough votes to legalize medical marijuana of any strength.

I believe this is the CBD bill. Charlottes web. This bill has noting to do with Medical marijuana Bill Sb 1250
Here is a link to the proposed bill 1250
http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/sourcefiles/Florida-sb-1250.pdf

The CBD bill if passed will go into effect before the 1250 bill which will be 6 months after WHEN passed LOL yaaaaa
This bill will really help children and be a stepping stone for the country i feel. Yes you can not smoke AND GET HIGH because it has just about NO THC but the CBD's are so high and will relieve discomfort to many who need the higher CBD

So either way VOTE YES ON ALL MARIJUANA ACTS LOL

Just an observation - does anyone believe when the news broadcast videos of ppl in Colorado standing in line to but weed that it makes folks uninitiated in weed cringe - let's face it every time I see those news stories I see stoners in line smiling like the Cheshire Cat lol. I think it's funny because ppl who do not use weed don't know what they are missing so they say " this country is going to hell in a handbag" I have neighbors who tell me that but no doubt they all know I get high. Maybe you folks in Colorado can have a bit of a serious look on your faces and accentuate your pain by using crutches or something. I don't want the florida voters to have any misgivings about voting yes in November. Although somewhere in the area of 70-80% of floridians want it legalized. Let's get out and vote please floridians, I'm tired of looking for a bag every month and breaking the stupid law.
