Flush before harvest in autopot system questions

I was hoping someone could answer some nubie(first grow) questions for me! I have 3 Bruce Banners and 1 Jack Herer auto's nearing harvest.(week 11 since sprout). They are in a Autopot system. I need some advice on when to flush! The trichomes are still mostly clear with some getting cloudy. How long does it take for them to change color? How long do I flush in autopot before harvest? I'm trying to time it right so I harvest with mostly cloudy trichomes as I hear it is more of a energetic high. I want to get the most THC that I can without the couchlock! Any advice would be most welcome!

Flushing, as in denying your plant of nutes in the last week's if life, has become a thing of the past

Many many top growers have stopped with this practice

The plant needs those nutes, especially, in those very important last days

Do the plants not use the stored nutrients in the leaves in the last days? That's my understanding.

They will regardless, but removing the main food source at that critical time is in no way beneficial

No taste difference between flush/no flush? That's my main concern I guess. I read that the smoke is smoother and no chemical taste with a flush?

I've never noticed a difference, and, it's been shown that flushing doesn't effect taste at all
