Forgot to add perlite: Noob help please

Yo what’s good homies.

My first grow is doing well so far. Today is Day 15 since I planted taproot into the same cup you are seeing right now.
i made a mistake tho. I didn’t add perlite, so water doesn’t drain much or seep through the soil evenly. Because of this I haven’t added any nutes yet. I also had to make a couple more holes for drainage, aeration, etc.

Should I wait til transplant to add perlite and nutes? It takes a while for soil mix to dry out. I’m using coco-coir, peat moss, vermiculite mix.

Shouldn’t be any issues but you need to water daily, it will need nutrients real soon.

Add a few more holes for drainage, and add perlite into your next pot up and itll be fine once the roots sprout out into the new pot

Will do. I think I'll let it mostly dry out today and start adding nutes tmrw! Finally getting my pH and EC meter today
