Fudo’s Comparison Grow: Ice Cream Cake, Organic vs Chem, 1800W Of Led & Cobs

Good evening. The original reason for this journal was for a true comparison of my organic soil vs commercial chemically grown weed off the same mother plant.
Samples were brought to a local dispensary guru and the verdict is in. Without getting into details he said the organic ICC would fetch up to $500 more an lb. that being the top price they’ll pay. I’m no expert in the market but that’s what I was told. Needless to say I’m pleased with the results. Score one for organic gardening.
The top bud in the pic is the organic. There’s actually quite a bit of difference between them for being clones. Although the Remos did yield more, it wasn’t by much and the quality difference is apparent. The organic buds hues are darker and more colorful and the trics appear more densely pact. I haven’t done a side by side smoke test yet but it’s fn delicious. @Emilya you might want to see this. Sorry about the pics , it’s a phone camera.

We’ll that’s it for this journal. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s up next. Haven’t decided on journaling it yet but this is the plan.

Was that on appearance or based on a tester bud? Also, what did he say the nute buds would fetch?
He tells just by looking at it. The Remo ICC done well is $2100lb. Pretty sure that hits the 15-$20g shelf. He said based on looking at it, it’s the 2100-$2500 version. Where it falls in there I guess would be determined by smoke. But $2500 is all they’ll pay for anything. Doesn’t matter to me because I ain’t selling and my patient likes Sativas only. This for me was just for research to see in real time just how good my soil is. I believe I’m dialed in.

Score another one for the organic side! They say that once you've gone organic, you will never go back. I have a feeling that the smoke/taste test will be conclusive.
Yes ma’am’ , I certainly don’t see myself doing it another way.

That's a fun trip to the weed store Fudo! Thought so! When my friends give me store bought weed to try it always seems like mono compared to stereo.
Right on Otter! My mother’s been sick so I’ve been spending time in Ann Arbor (the medical and cannabis capital of Michigan) so I hit a couple of dispensaries. I’ve hit 5 different ones around the state recently to compare. Other than helping maintain the local industry and the oil, it’s been a waste of money. My stuffs better lol. So I got it figured, as long as I keep getting good genetics and light, in this soil, so far I can’t miss. And now I have to go back through my journals and chart exactly where my soil is at so I can re-amend for a larger batch. My buddy wants me to make him 8 pots for a full organic ICC run. I knew it! Lol.

And we’re off and running for the next one.

A couple hours of work for a stress free grow.

In a couple weeks these will move to their new organic homes. A bin is being reserved for the Biscotti seeds when they arrive. I’ll more than likely be journaling because I haven’t found a reason not too. It’s been very helpful and a lot fun.

On a side note, I left several root clumps in each bin when I broke up the root balls. The ones that were still there broke up very easily the second time around. It’s composting pretty darn quick in the sun.
