Aloha 420Magazine,

I'd like to begin by saying, as an active member of Overgrow.com way back in the beginning, and having been away from the grow forum world for over a decade, reading on this forum has been such a breath of fresh air. The friendly discussion and sharing of ideas here, seeing members helping and encouraging one another, is what I think growing forums should be all about. -Bravo 420mag.

While I am not new to growing, I am new to doing it with coco, and so far I am loving it.

My setup-

Veg: ~140w mixed cfl and screw in LEDs in homemade fixture/reflector

Flower: 600w HPS, cool tube, 440cfm 6" fan. (really original configuration, I know but it does a hell of a job)

Genetics: 3x Triple Cheese (Barney Farms), 3x 8 Ball Kush (Barney Farms), 4x Honeytrap (Sensible Seeds)

All twelve successfully germinated on 4/20. Had to try and keep them bonzai through training/mainlining as the flower tent was full until just last week.

Here we are at a little over a month old:

About one week later, ~67 days from seed, and everyone has recovered nicely:

Everyone got to take turns in the tent for a photo op, about 85 days from seed, a week or so after the second topping:

Last round of tying down (probably)...didn't get everyone in this pic but it gives you an idea:

Recover from being tied down, at ~90 days from seed, give or take:

Tonight, 92 days from seed (funky colors are from my phone trying to auto-adjust for the HPS lighting in the editing app, I enjoyed it for it's, funkyness):

I must confess I haven't done a great job in outlining this journal.

The 10 plants are all manifolded to four tops each. I hope to make it work like a SOG from here.

For nutes: PureBlendPro Grow 8-10 ml / gallon, every watering.

Cal-Mag 4-6 ml / gallon, every watering.

Note a nute but also....

Hydroguard, 4 ml / gallon, every watering.

Hygrozyme, 4 ml / gallon, every other watering.

Plants are currently in one gallon pure coco, with some small kine lava rock at the bottom.

Will edit all this into the first page.

One fast kine update for today:

Everyone is doing well, switched from 24/0 to 18/6 a few days ago, thinking about dropping it to 12/12 any day now.

I took some individual pictures of all the girls tonight, for documentation purposes mainly.

Also removed all shoots that I had been saving for clones, settled on just taking seven cuts, three of Triple Cheese #1, and four of 8 Ball Kush #3, my two favorite plants of the group.

On to the solo shots:

One fast kine update...

Today wraps up day five of 12/12. I think I am mostly happy with where the canopy is at right now, with maybe the exception of a stubborn 8ball Kush or two.

Under the canopy is looking much neater than I am used to.

And a stubborn 8 Ball Kush ...I don't know what the hell I'm doing with this one here, just trying to make it work lol

Took some individual shots again last night and put them with the previous to show progression. They represent about two weeks growth.

First pic is a few days before the flip to 12/12, then a few days after, and the last is 10th day of 12/12...

I gave away the one super lanky 8BK to a fellow patient in need.

Thanks for coming by gtrnike!

Not going to scrog it, although I am shooting for scrog like canopy, just without a screen. They're mainlined / manifolded to four tops each. My hope is to end up with 36 nice colas (4x9).

Id like to try a scrog, but I hand water so I have a hard time wrapping my mind around the idea of having my plants immobilized like that.
