Gavita Grow Lamps - Anyone with Real-World Experience?

Hello everyone,

I'm helping a friend figure out some things regarding a new grow business, and I'm trying to get some real world info, not that of the manufacturer. He just purchased (10) Gavita pro 1000's (not exactly sure of the model but the ballast is attached, not remote)

He has 2 warehouses, one is 10'x 12', the other is 12' x 20' both fully insulated w/10' ceiling, each have a 750 CFM 10" Evac system. The smaller warehouse has a 24,000 BTU A/C with 4 mounted wall fans, the bigger one has a 36,000 BTU A/C with 6 mounted wall fans. He is not using any CO2 burners. He wants to use 4 lamps in the smaller room and 6 in the larger room, 9 plants per lamp.

3 questions:

(1) is the A/c adequate?
(2) How high should the lights be to avoid bleaching/burning?
(3) People are talking about 2-3lb. yield per lamp, with 9 plants. How big do you let them grow for that yield?

A/C will be fine if their splits. Window model won't cut it. Keep those 1000 Gavitas about 3 feet high and you will be fine. 2-3 pounds are the best you will do but anything is possible. Hope your grow turns out great. Are you doing veg in the smaller unit and flower in the larger?
