A medical marijuana supporter says a loophole in state law encouraged him to try cannabis oil on his autistic son for the first time.

Dale Jackson is an outspoken advocate for legalizing the cultivation of medical marijuana in Georgia. He says the current law addresses cannabis oil containing below 5% THC and above 15% THC, but it doesn't address levels in between.

Jackson says it's extremely difficult to know how much THC is in cannabis oil.

"Our objective in letting everyone know about this is we want 20-30,00 people to try it within the next couple of months that it's legal and hopefully they'll see the positive benefits from it." Said Dale Jackson, Medical Marijuana Supporter.

House Bill 722 passed the Georgia State House is expected to close the loophole in the coming months. The bill is still being considered in the senate.
