Germinating in florist foam

Day 1 of my attempt to germinate in florist foam. Not by choice- unable to obtain supplies and unwilling to wait (though I'll be pissed if I lose $200 worth of seeds).
I'm keeping them wet with a dropper using 5.6 (adjusted) PH bottled water. I make sure there is the tiniest bit of water sitting at the bottom of the foam (around the edges) as I checked them during the night and was alarmed by how dry they were (not completely).
600w HPS
5x5 tent
7 lemon skunk
2 Chemdawg
1 fruit punch auto
I'm aiming for 26-30deg c
70% humidity.
Running light 24/0
ANY advice to help me deliver these babies safely would be much appreciated!!
(2nd grow after 15 year break between 1st grow. 1st grow - v.good quality -v.poor yield. Aiming to improve that!! :)

I have never heard of doing that. Not sure I would have wasted $200 of seeds trying something new. If they have not popped and started trying to root in that foam I would try and change to soil. New growers should be trying new grow mediums.

Soil is cheap enough to start with. I used Miracle Grow soil for years and still do when needed. It is decent starting platform.
