I can get some pretty good weed from last years outdoor grow but its gotten a bit of that old "moldy" smell.
Are there any tricks to get rid of this smell/taste?

Let us assume that the moldy smell is being generated by another source other than your weed. In that case you may want to put an orange slice in a jar along with a few buds for a few hours.
BUT if your bud is moldy get rid of it! Smoking moldy weed would be like smoking Agent Orange.

I completely understand that it is hard to hear but, I'm with these guys... if it smells moldy, get rid of it.
