I should have known better than to expect to be able to grow out clones without treating them with some SNS first. Sometimes it seems like I learn best the hard way. PM is my enemy for sure. Hopefully the seeds I started will be able to provide me super clean and healthy clones.
Dang Goose...
I didn't think you had the Mite problem in your neck of the woods.
I guess though you were implying to the outdoor, since the cooler evening weather helps keep them away.
Those are some pretty nasty mite infections.
It reminds me of my outdoor grow...
It is sure devistating when you spend so much time
nurturing your plant and then find the mites ruining all your hard work.
The worst thing about them is that the treatments are limited when
your plant reaches flowering stages.
I found with my experience that an ounce of prevention goes a long way against spider mites.
I spray my plants (undersides of leaves) and top weekly during veg state with neem oil.
The plant seems to suck up the neem through its pores . The insects hate it so it helps keep them
away. I seemed to have much success doing this. I follow the same practice with my tomato plants.
If you are unlucky enough to get an infestation you have to then move to a stronger treatment..
I used the Azamax which worked very well. I haven't tried the SNS (I believe was what you were talking about here..)..
Hopefully this year I will have a clean year . I plan to start my outdoor this year on June 1st..
My first grow I made the mistake of starting to early in mid April and had one of my plants hermi -ing on me ..
Bumpin this thread as it was useful to me. I was able to use the pictures of Cannabis specific PM under microscope, to rule out PM versus common white mold, both of which look similar, even under microscope.
So glad you didn't close this thread - It's still helping people. Thank you!!!!!
