Rare Darkness OG had to be pulled from the lineup. An unforeseen event happened and well she went down the garbage disposal. RIP Rare darkness.

Set up germination day!

Last night I soaked my seeds and this morning I set up my paper towel germination!
I will germinate for 2 days before putting them into my medium.

Last night I received my @Giixer 1000W grow light! This morning I did the unboxing!

Thank you @Giixer for letting me review this light! I hope my input can help get your product the attention it deserves.

I really wanted to bring this to @Giixer attention.
When I open the box I noticed that the insulation to prevent the package from moving during shipment was only on one side of the box. Allowing the package to move freely inside the Box .

Thankfully the inner box was a completely different story every component was wrapped in cellophane and held in place by molded cellophane.

What came inside was a manual, thermometer and hydrometer, power cord 6', mounting hooks 1'3",and a locking pulley 5'5".

Reading the manual it states that there should be two switches. On my light there's only one switch. It is nice that it does have a daisy chain option, and also mounting hooks on the light itself instead of raised metal. Making it easier to secure the light.

This is the first light I've seen where there's not a smooth lens cover over the LEDs. Not sure if this is going to be a good thing or bad thing because of dust build-up or just cleaning them.

Now onto the setup!

The initial setup was very easy, thanks to swivel rings on the back of the light. Attaching the hooks was a snap so was attaching the Locking pulley.

I secured the Locking pulley with a paracord, and reinforced it with bailing wire. I didn't want to take a chance in a 6lb light crushing my girls.

Upon the initial mounting of the light I had a concern that I was not going to be able to position the light the way I want to using the locking pulley.

I had to use paracord to secure it do the corners of my grow tent. This helps the light stay in the right position I wanted.

The first thing I did during the unboxing was set up the thermometer / hydrometer to see if it was calibrated. I wanted to give it enough time to get an accurate reading. After about 45min I compared it to the ones that I had already in the room. It is on point! The one in the middle is what came with the @Giixer 1000W light.

This completes my unboxing review. I will be taking light measurements and temperature measurements in my next posting. I can't wait to see what it can do with my seedlings!
