Girl Scout Cookies Fem Twins

Thanks guys and gals. I’m not complaining. I have literally been submerged for most of the year. Mom really was my primary focus. And at work, we have switched to 12 hour shifts due to the “pandemic” so that seriously eats into my day. All of the extra preparations to maintain social distancing at work for 12 hours has had significant negative psychological and physical energy consuming affects on me personally. The same restrictions and not being able to visit my mom in her final days really screwed me up. And then being the only person in my family, I had to organize and pay for mom’s funeral during all these stupid pandemic restrictions laid out by the government and that meant mom didn’t get the kind of funeral that she wanted to have. I know people bitch about the cost of living. I have a really traumatic story about the cost of dying. But I’m not going to share that story here. That’s not why I’m here. I just wanted to let you guys know that I haven’t forgotten about you, and that I do read your posts. I just don’t comment very much because you guys have way more to offer in the form of knowledge and advice than I do. I’ve got to confess that this new world we are living in has had some serious negative affects on myself and the small circle of family, friends and coworkers. All of the hatred being displayed and the rioting and the killing and the destruction has really got me stressed out. I thank God every day that I live out and away from the madness. As difficult as things are, He has blessed my life with awesome family, great friends, the gift of cannabis to enhance my life and the other earthly possessions that allow me the privilege of being able to survive during these darker days.
As for future grows, yes, for now I am submerged and idle. But I’m sitting on about 2 pounds of seven different strains. I have a lot of smoking to do. Hahaha. But I think my next grow is going to be an auto called hulk smash. Thanks for all the kind words. I will be around. But I will most likely just bereading up until I start my next grow. And I will probably need some advice, because I’ve never grown an auto before. meanwhile let’s spread peace love and cannabis seeds and stop the hate and destruction.
Peace Out!

So let me tell you a story about blazing with my 3year old son.

As some of you already know, I am a retired firefighter/medic haz mat tech who has lost a kidney to renal cell carcinoma. My other kidney isn’t very happy either and my prostate is threatening a walk out. I use cannabis to make my life bearable. My son is 33 years old, married and living in Tennessee with his wife and son. I live here in the DFW area. Back in June of this year (2020), My son came down for my moms funeral and oh boy was that a trip. He didn’t know it, but I have converted his room to be a grow room. I was worried about how I was gonna explain the tent and all the associated gear in his room. I was especially anxious about the rosin press and microscope. So I broke it to him like this.
I engaged in some small talk and asked him how things are going at home with his family and his job and one thing leads to another. He reluctantly tells me about his anxiety and Insomnia. Now mind you, he knows I’m pro cannabis however, he didnt know at the time that I was actively growing and toking. So I ask him how he’s managing to function with his chaotic life. He looks me square in the eyes, smiles and says “weed”. In the back of my mind I think that he expected me to have a negative reaction, because I could see a bit of defiance in his eyes. I suspect he was expecting me to have some sort of negative reaction. But I think I caught him off guard. I busted out laughing. I cheekily ask if he brought a little to share. The look he gave me was priceless. He meekly admitted he brought 3 Js with him. I took him to the “store” room, and said, “son, you need to step up your game”, and then showed him the seven 40+ OZ jars and four big tins of the seven different strains I have grown so far.
All he could manage to utter was “Holy Fuck!! Holy Fuck!!” for about five minutes. Then I took him to his old bedroom and showed him my grow operation. I laughed. He laughed. We got high on each other’s supply. It was a very lovely bonding moment between father and son in an otherwise tragic event which was the funeral I had to put together for my mom and his granny. And yeah. I sent him home with a quarter of the tangerine dream and Eleven Roses. I also got to do some dabs with him. He had never done dabs so I turned him on to some of the eleven roses rosin that I pressed earlier in the year. He loved it. And that’s how I got high with my son for the first time ever.

That was one hell of a grow. Somehow I missed it in this huge forum but I'm glad I found it. My son is 37 and I have yet to smoke with him. I know he does it but we live far apart. I hope he comes down here sometime soon. I'd love to teach him how to grow.
I know your not growing right now but when you do tag me. I'll visit for sure...lol. I love plant porn and watching other succeed. Your experience showed on this grow. I hide behind that curtain too. Its not a comfortable feeling at all but we do what we have to do. I hope to see more grows from you soon.

I appreciate the sentiments. Welcome to my electronic campfire.

Just checking in. It’s been an insane year so far. Still submerged as far as growing goes. Nursing on my past projects. I just wanted to add that the second GSC phenotype “B” that was grown in this project apparently hermied because we are finding seeds in the buds. LOL. I have no idea how it pollinated since it was in a tent with filters on both the inlet and outlet and the only other plant in the tent was another female which didn’t show any signs of going hermie. Not sure what happened but I’m gonna collect what seeds I find and keep them. I’m really enjoying these two girls buds. It’s an amazing high. I blaze and laugh my arse off watching Monty Python. And it

And it really helps me sleep. It’s so amazing to be able to actually have a large supply to nurse off of during these challenging times. I will likely start another project this fall. Things are finally settling down to where I can focus on home projects.
hope everyone is doing good.

High Y’all!!! We still kickin it! Still submerged but times are kinda weird right now. I really want to power up the tent again but these back to back 12 hour shifts are literally kicking my ass.
But the pay is definitely worth it. We all got a 2% raise across the board back in July and I got another 5% added in September so that’s a 7% raise in one summer. I really need to find a reputable seed company here in the USA that sells Delicious breeders and Barney’s seeds.
Every source I’ve researched have lately been getting some pretty horrifying reviews. I refuse to do business with clowns. Anyway I hope you all are blazing away and keeping happy and safe. God Bless.

High Tom, Been a while. Hope things are getting better for you. It's been one crazy year, that's a give in. If you want to try some really kick ass stuff try Cannarado Genetics. Their strains are the most potent I've come across. Every seed so far has germinated. I've grown at least 1 of theirs every grow for over a year & it has always been the best out of every grow.
I know what you mean about the journal traffic. I rarely have an issue any more so I get very little traffic. People follow the beginners to help & learn what not to do. Kind of ass backwards. The beginners should be following the experienced who don't have issues so they can do it right the first time.
The other thing is.... New growers always think they've come up with a better way.... lol. They don't realize every thing they try has already been tried over & over by others who had the bright idea before them. If it worked we'd all be doing it. But you can't tell them that. They really think they've got something. Yes, I'm also guilty of that very thing.
Took me a while to figure out that I should be watching the growers with at least 5 years experience. Anybody with less experience I don't consider a good info source. I really prefer those with 10+ years of experience. They've already tried it all & have their grows down to a Tee. Those are the ones to follow if you want to get good at it. Of course there are a few special folks out there that don't have the years of experience; but did enough research to be very helpful.
I'm currently on my 13th grow & get very little traffic. I'm pretty sure it will be my final journal. Getting too boring for me to keep doing them. Most of the members who joined this site about the time I did are long gone. Not sure if they gave up (after watching too many beginners journals & not succeeding) or if they learned enough to get by & just left. About 80-90% of the people on this site right now joined this year. Pretty much a complete turnover. So the experienced end up leaving & we have tons of beginners again. So when I see someone who's been around since 2012 I know that could be someone I might learn something from.
So once I complete this journal I'm getting rid of most of my equipment & just going to run 1 4'x4' tent. I have a good 8 month supply on hand so all I really have to grow is 4 plants that yield 6 oz. ea. twice per year & I'm good. Should be easy as pie.
Good talking with you again. Hope to see you around more often.

Yes. I’m still here reading and learning. But I don’t really comment. If I have a question, usually someone else has asked it first. So no need cluttering up peoples threads with the same questions over and over. And like you, I’ve decided that my 4x4 tent is all I need. And I’m buying spare parts like filters and vent units as standbys to keep in storage. The biggest hassle is finding FFOF soil. I have to do a road trip out of state for that now. The nursery I used to buy from went belly up. Anyway, thanks for the shout and email me a link to that seed bank if you could. Thanks.

This is not the first time I have seen this sort of comment and probably not the last.

Beginners who join and ask basic questions that they should have looked up on their own before they "planted a seed for the first time" in their life. Or the ones who walk into a hydro or grow shop and ask a couple of questions, then leave and go to the big box home improvement store and buy a bag of the least expensive soil they see and blame the poor growth of their "first seed ever" on the guy at the grow shop because he recommended the quality soil instead of the ' really cheap soil' that they wanted to buy to save money.:(

Not sure if they gave up (after watching too many beginners journals & not succeeding)...
I think that there is a lot more of that than most of us realize at first. At least that is what I think I am seeing. People join up because they notice a problem and ask for help. Then in order to help them they need to provide more information on what they have done so far but keep overlooking the important questions they have to answer first.

I also feel that more than a few leave because they do not like the answers they get to their basic questions. Instead of trying to understand they go some where that they will get the answer they like, right or wrong.

I'd say at least 1/3rd of the seedbanks carry Cannarado Genetics. They are Colorado Grown but the Headquarters are in California.

I’ve kept a written log of each project. Day by day updates. I used that to build my foundation for my germination method and my PH and other fertilizer practices, and for my LED settings and timers, temp, humidy and ventilation settings. I encourage anyone who’s making their own medical to do the same. Just be sure you remember where you hide it. I lost the log book for my first 4 grows and had to fall back on my posts to rebuild them with a new log book.
