Grandpa Likes To Squeeze Stuff: Solventless Extracts, Rosin, Pressed Here!

I got around to squishing buds from my recent harvest of some SS Sweet Gelato. The idea is to infuse the rosin into some Coconut MCT and then make gummys. I pressed some of this stuff about a week ago, after it'd been curing for a week, and had a much better return. Just over 20%. I'm not sure why this time around I was only able to squeeze ~16% out. It's sitting in jars with the cheap hygrometers reading between 60-61% and 1 8g humidity pack per litre (mix of 1L and 2L jars).

I pressed a total of 15.6 grams, 2x5g bags and a 5.6g bag and ended up with a 2.6g return. First press for each bag was @ 190°F for around 3 minutes total and then I stacked all three bags up and pressed @ 205°F. I got distracted and didn't keep track of the time for the second press.

Bags prepped, material de-stemmed.

Squeezed the remaining fluffy lower bud from the Northern Lights x Big Bud tonight. This rosin has such a lovely flavour. I’m getting apple or fruit crumble on the exhale.

Hey squishers, it's that time of the month...to vote in the CONTESTS! Don't forget the OTY ones as well.

Takes a minute, lasts a lifetime (for the winners anyway)!

It gets darker with less waxiness with age. But it still taste and vapes phenomenal.
I’ve got my emergency backups if I need them... :slide:

Award winning ;) GG4 @ 180

I squish and save in case the old lady calls for a stop. We’ve been debating getting away from this area. The local government doesn’t care about what the people want, they just want more taxable housing.

Anyhow...

Thanks Shed. I totally forgot. I had no idea.

Damn straight! You've got to plan for rainy days also. Or at least that's how I was raised... :3:

That’s what I’m talking about. Nicely done.

Beauty squishes everyone!

I got around to decarbing and then infusing my last press into some coconut mct oil. It was 2.6g into a 1/4 cup of oil. Of that I took 1/8 cup and used to make gummys. The leaf cavities are around 2ml and I ended up having enough to fill 70 of 75 cavities. Boy are they strong. I ate two the first night, and after an hour ate two more. It wasn't long before I realized two would have been enough! You can really taste the rosin, but I guess that's to be expected from infusing that much into such a small amount of oil.

I used a version of the recipe from @Preston9mm.

7g unflavoured gelatine
1/4 cup cold water with lime flavoured drink mix
85g lime jello
1/8 cup light corn syrup
1/4 tsp liquid lecithin
1/8 cup rosin infused oil
