Greetings From Northern Ontario: Getting Ready For First Grow

Day 14. Light watering. New plant looking good. Ph 6.4 temp 24c 60 percent. Trying to get supplies to make a composte tea for the girls. Hopefully ready for Monday. I didn't realize how many recipes there were out there in order to get the right bacteria when doing organic. Going with bat guano (if I can find it) organic black strap molasses, worm castings, kelp meal and alfalfa. Will brew for 30 ish hours. I plan on doing the mix in 2 gallons of water. I know I can only use this when first made. Any issue with ensuring the plants are first dry and then adding the tea until runoff ?

The girls are doing good. Day 15 heavy watering. Girls I think are looking healthy. The new one is coming along. Ph6.5 24C 50 percent.

Day 16 and 17 no water. Day 18 approx 1l or quarter gallon per 5 gallon pot. I think I am giving them a good wet dry cycle but am unsure. Ph 6.6 24.3c 58 percent. First pic is how dry I let it get. Lights still at approx 80 watts. When do I bump up the power?

Day 19 Lights remain at approx 80 watts. Not sure when to bump up the power a bit. From the heavy water the day before and humidifier running humidity was up to 70 percent and temp approx 23C. Maybe I am expecting too much. I just thought they would be bigger. I kept the tent open for about 10 minutes to drop the humidity a bit. Athena is the star of the grow at present followed by Alice. Agnes is still stunted, but doing ok. I feel that Aurora the 9 day old plant is growing faster than the others at her stage. I don't know if it is because she is closer to the lights or my mind playing tricks on me. No water today. My growing book by The Rev should be in today and then I will give them a tea near the end of next week. I was also going to try some Great White on Agnes and Aurora to see what it will do for the roots. I am thinking of putting some in a 60 cc syringe with water to get the microbes closer to the root system.

Whoo. It arrived. I have some reading to do. I am already impressed with the quality of the book and the pictures. Hopefully it is a good read.

One last thing that I did today is I dropped my light height to 20 inches above the plants. I have kept the wattage at 80. Will see how they like it. I also moved Aurora to the bottom.

Day 20. No water. 24.4C 66 %. Brewing up a tea recipe from The Rev.

Day 21 Each girl got approx 1.5L of tea. I think I may have let them go dry a little to long. Aurora was transplanted and Myco was put on the roots. She got a little teas as well. Plan to start LST in the upcoming days. I think Athena is ready.

Day 22. Girls look happy. Had their tea yesterday. No water today. I can't believe how much they perked up. They must have been too dry. It wouldn't be from the tea. I don't think I will see any big difference for a week. First pic is yesterday. Check them out now. All perky amd happy. Temp around 22c 55 percent.

Day 23. No changes to temp etc. No water. Increased light to 50 percent of approx 105 watts.

Day 24 complete disaster. Started LST and snapped the stem on poor Agnes. It isn't right off but pretty damn close. I am hoping she will recover.

Day 25. Agnes is all F ed up. I essentially topped the s@^t out of her. Do I let her continue to grow or germinate a new seed? Hmm.

Day 26. Water at ph 6.4 temp 22 70 percent humidity. Shut off humidifier. Increased lights to 60 percent so around 120 watts. The little seedling that got myco appears to be growing very quickly. She is back left and 10 days younger than the others. Front left is Agnes that had an accident during LST.

Day 27. Started training Aurora. Had no problem with bending stem. Need to remember to start with higher wattage to prevent stretching, as no issue with her. T 22c 45 humidity. Restarted humidifier. No issue noted with light increase.

Day 28. Tea time. Each got 1.5 L. 24C 54 percent humidity. I think once again I was too aggressive with training Athena has a brown area on her stem.

Auto. She is still growing 2 days later, but the leaves have some brown on them.

I think my lighting was also a little too low wattage wise and they stretched and their stem isn't as robust. Just my own interpretation

I figured since I haven't accidentally killed my kids or dog and named them all it would be a good sign. All named with an A for first grow. Will needs some good names for B.
