Looking for the best lighting option to cover a 5x5 flowering area. Looking for light that will dive deep thru the canopy. Been looking at kind lights,FGI lights, and qb lights.. please help....

Why is no one helping with my question?
It is still early, I noticed a lot of the members are up late and wakes up late. I’m an early bird, unfortunately (puts head down) lol.
I’m no light expert, so I have no idea to what would be the best for a 5x5 area. What I can do though is maybe point you in the right direction. What is your budget for said light? Also have you narrowed it down to if you want HID LED or HPS?

qbs are great , thats what i run
the guidance is around 50w per square foot, if you can work out your area then you know how muh you need.
cmh is also a great choice as are cob arrays.

1200 real watts. 4 lights would be best, don't you think, for uniform coverage and penetration from different angles.

I prefer and recommend Spectrum King LEDS as they do provide good growth 3ft into the canopy … if you are into dyi I would look into quantum boards .

I've used a double HID 400w fixture for smaller grow. Mine has a 400w MH and HPS. I vegged under 400w MH, and flowered under both. Two plants original Blueberry in GH nutes and Waterfarms and had huge yields.

I'd like to stay around 1000.00 dollars to start off. Then build from there. If I need more money so be it.. dont really want hps if there are lights that can get the results that run cooler. Which saves on the electricity bill.

I currently have two separate grows , all the lights in the room have dimmers that are used to keep specific levels of lux and par at the top of the canopy. The tent grow is roughly a 2x3 and the light used in there is their closet case 140w.

A 630w cmh will cover that area it appears and a bit more. Make sure you know the watts-at-the-wall figures for any LED systems you look at because BS abounds big-time in that light sector.

2 Mars TSL-2000 or SP-250s would run you around 520-530. 4 TS-1000 would probably be ideal if you don't want to DIY. I have one in my 2.5x2.5 and love it.

totally depends on your ambient temps. if its cold then you may have to rethink the QBs and White LEDs. great choice in summer and warm places

Three of the SP-250 can do the job. Total 690~705w, saveing a lot energy than other lights. Because it has high PPE around 2.35~2.58umol/j.
