Hey!

Thanks for checking out my grow. Always looking to broaden my horizons so I thought I would post my journal here.

I have 2 tents. A 4x4 with a 480w, and a 5x5 with a 720w. I grow with LEDs and organic soil.

Seeds, clones, pheno hunts, whatever I feel like doing but I do it with passion! I have been back at it about 7 months after a 4-5 year break. I am only 2 harvests in and my 3rd is in week 2 of Flower right now, but I feel like I have finally gotten back into the swing of things. LEDs and soil are both still relatively new to me, but I have gotten the hang of the basics.

Here is a series of group-shots of my last grow throughout flower. Put behind a spoiler so it doesn't take over my whole first post.

Week 2 of Flower, day 12.

I am running 4 clones of different phenos from my last hunt. I really liked 4 of the 6 phenos, so why waste 2 month old clones? So I only threw out the 2 losers I didn't like and transplanted the winner + the 3 runners-up into 28L pots. I put them under a trellis net and flipped them a few weeks later. They started to bud about 4 days ago.

Keeping temps and humidity in range has required constant attention as mother nature will do as she pleases, but between my A/C and dehumidifier I have it handled. My 720w LED is on 40% at 30" from the canopy. In flower I increase my wattage once per week by 10%, and I stop around 75-80%.

I top dressed them yesterday and watered them in with 6 litres. They aren't done stretching, but they are getting very close. I will be doing a strip and defoliation in week 3.

My clones of the winner are too young to count as being in veg, but here they are, transplanting into soil. They are still on 24h of light, and they are only 9 days old from being taken as cuttings. I used an aero clone machine with a hormone solution and a low dose of hydrogen peroxide to make them root.

Welcome to the party @GrowBud!

What strains are you working with and what are you looking for?

Looking forward! :Rasta:

Welcome to the party @GrowBud!
Thank you for the welcome, its fun to be at the party haha!
What strains are you working with and what are you looking for?
Right now in my Flower tent I have 4 of the best phenotypes from my last pheno hunt. Strain is Kir Royale by the Aussie breeder HeavyDayze. Instead of throwing out all the runner-up clones I only threw out the phenos I didn't like, then I up-potted the 4 I liked into 28L pots so I could run another 4 plant grow ASAP. In my veg tent I have 4 clones of the winner for my next run, the winner is in the bottom right hand corner of the tent by the way.

As for what I am looking for? Flavour above all, above yield AND above frost. The winning pheno for example was not the frostiest by a long shot, and she wasn't the biggest yielder either she was 3rd. But she is twice as DANK as the others, smells dank and tastes dank, and when she cured up she lost none of that, and that's all I care about haha.

Great garden Growbud! Thanks for the link in Gee Spot.
Thank you I appreciate it! Its no worries, good to have you here.
GB, You said you added ferts to the water. What are you feeding them?
I use a local living soil brand called High Powered Organics, and they also sell powders you add to the water and of course top dresses as well. I use their whole range, as well as their microbes/enzyme/rhizo products.

These are the 2 fertilizers I use:

Aqua Marine: Grow & Bloom (2 different products,

Ocean Potion

What was the purple one in your last grow? It was gorgeous.
I forgot to answer this, my apologies.

That is the same strain, Kir Royale, and I am glad you liked the purple one because you will get to see it 1 last time. In my current grow she is the bottom left hand corner, she is getting a 2nd round so you will see her colours change in about 2 weeks. Unfortunately her terps were extremely muted, her flavour was very lacking. She was very strong, the frostiest to be sure, but unfortunately she didn't win the round. Here is some better pics of her.

This is what she looked like with all of her fan leaves removed, just before I chopped her down.
